i’d like to show you what its like to cut open a car at 2am, and having a person screaming in pain over broken legs, and then trying to go back to sleep
i’d liek to show you the multiple times i’ve went, when i have many other things to do, to Childrens or ECMC because the local level of care wasnt capible of handling the emergency
i’d like to show you the horrors of watching a family member being told that their loved one has just died, and then being able to goto thanksgiving dinner
after awhile, the trauma… the despair… the death desensitises you to it.
I do get awhile that all volys “are” is “guys who fight a few fires and get drunk everynight.”
while some of that is true, its a gross exaggeration and generally false.
i highly wish all of you on this board would volunteer. We are at our lowest levels in years, and need all the help we can get.
The local VFC is at full capacity… otherwise I would def consider it.
