Bread doesn’t cost a nickel a loaf anymore either.
Gas isn’t .90 a gallon.
People accept pricing going up with a quality product. Time Warner, at least in this area, has a shitty product. Combine that with a price increase and more people will move to dish, even though they all raise their rates.
That’s because Time Warner’s beef is with Sinclair Broadcasting Group. Not the local Fox 29 affiliate. WUTV is owned by SBG which owns many stations including some ABC, CBS, and NBC affiliates.
Nope, DirecTV barely ever go’s up. And last time it did it went up $4.00 so no big deal. Also Historically DirecTV has had the least amount of rate increases among all leading television providers.
And to whoever said their DirecTV go’s out for like 10 hours. You must have had some retard put your dish up. I have had mine up for 3 years and it is still yet to ever go out on me. It is all in who installed it and if they know what they are doing.
Now my opinion might be a little bias but DirecTV is a far better deal than Dish Network. I do work for them and can answer any question anyone has about the base rates, but you should call or go to the web site for any of the promotional offers we are running. I can just tell you normal rates without promo deals.
I guess I’m just biased then since my bill through them is $0 a month, if I was paying 206/mo. then yeah I would probably bitch and bitch too. I have had no internet loss or problems with my tv network, my HD’s come in great and the dvr is stellar, so for me I’ve had no problems.
I totally see what everyone is coming from, but what happens when we have a snow storm or rain storm that knocks out the satellite communication? I’m just saying that there are problems with every product/company its just a matter of perspective.
If i didn’t work for TWC and got everything for free, I sure as hell would not pay 200/mo. for it. No way no hell, it’s not worth that.
I dunno, we would have great signal strength and then as soon as alot of rain came down the channels would get that green distortion and cut out. Then when it would let up it would come back to perfect.
Dunno, we still have it back home because my parents pay for the NFL sunday ticket…maybe we have bad signal but unless it rains hard, everything is crystal clear
Poor alignment of the dish causing a less than optimal signal.
Poor/loose mounting location that is allowing for the dish to move slightly due to wind, or water flowing past the base causing a loss of signal.
When it’s properly installed it should very rarely go out except during a major storm/when it’s covered by large amounts snow. Honestly if I didn’t work for TW I’d drop everything except the internet. If FiOS hits the area I’m going for that regardless if I do or not.
