anyone have experience with their stuff, mainly on bmw’s? i need to do the brakes on my car and will be doing hoses and rebuilding calipers as well. sticking to oem for the hoses and caliper rebuilt kits, but would like to save some money on rotors/pads if these are any good. its just for the DD so dosent need to be fancy, but i dont wanna have crappy braking and horrible wheel dust, but i can deal with some. also, anyone know if their rotors come with new screws? thanks…
i would ask on the bmw forums, but the majority of the people there are ignorant narrow minded douchebags. lol.
I’ve always had great luck with Raybestos stuff from Rock Auto. I don’t think I’ve used their rotors though, just pads. Rotors I usually get the NAPA blanks.
Good stuff. Same with the Centric stuff too. The rotors will not come with the set screws, but I don’t know any mfg that includes them. Good job buying oem stuff for the caliper rebuild. I know it’s just a piece of rubber for the piston, but nothing installs quite like the oem one.
For the raysbestos rotors, just don’t buy the service grade. Get the professional grade or advanced technology.
The one set of raybestos I ordered were stamped brembo on the rotor so Im not sure if raybestos has any relation with brembo or they just use whatever cores they can get but they been on my car for 4 yrs. with no issues so no complaonts here.
thanks for the opinions. ended up getting oem for the hoses, caliper rebuild kits, rotor screws, and sensors. got raybestos professional grade for pads and rotors.
The raybestos parts that I ordered were all made in china. They have been OK so far. The drums that I ordered were actually stamped china on the face of the drum in large letters…
We use them for all of the cars we do brakes with at work. For the most part, they’re not bad. It does seem however that we’ll go through batches where we’re constantly grinding the new pads to fit correctly in the brackets, some just won’t fit at all. This isn’t always the case but it seems that it happens enough for us to notice at work and get annoyed, lol.
