RB26 240Z in Milton

I took these videos in Milton today at Mohawk Racetrack. It was a charrity slalom for the Milton Safe Streets campaign.

The car is a 72 (I think?) Datsu 240Z with RB26 swap. It has no revlimiter, hence all the valve float. I’ve driven the car and can attest to how hard it is to drive.

BTW if you live in the area and are interested in slalom there is a provincial championship event on Sunday, May 13th that is open to the public. It’s at Mohawk Racetrack on Guelph Line, just north of the 401.

you said the owner is from Milton? I never saw this thing. must be a beast.

thats awesome,

by the way, how about starting a thread listing the local slalom events? I want to go and get some autox going with my car

dat shits crazy, not to mention the amount of money that was put into that thing

man, i just wish i could find a clean good shape 260/280z

Thanks for the videos Marsh, that looks very fun.

No, the event is in Milton. I’m not sure where the driver lives.

Define local? You can get lists of most of the events in ontario from the official region autoslalom site here: http://solo2.casc.on.ca/schedule/schedule.php

More will be added for WOSCA in Sarnia for later in the year. Otherwise I think all the clubs that submit schedules to that site have already done so.

I want that freaking 240z

The Hell with my 240sx. Anyone wanna trade?

So…anybody want to buy my Subaru?

…?

cal, die.

Probably not much compared to a lot of S14s on here. Hell, people have paid close to $20K for a ‘clean’ one. A stock 240Z vs S14 is a laugh.

I really don’t think that’s valve float. It’s tough to float a mechanical valvetrain, and the GTR has a very good valvetrain good to 9,000+ rpm

If it’s floating valves it’s not shimmed properly.

It is a lot of money to be just as quick as a stock 120hp Subaru wagon though.

I think I would punch the guy with the mic to get him to shut up.

Its autocross tho…your S14 would get smoked by a stock civic or miata.

No it was valve float. The car doesn’t have a rev limiter and when he got home that evening he found out his tach was reading 1000rpm low. Another competitor showed him how to set up the revlimiter in his stand alone and he had the tach fixed for the Sunday event.

I believe the commentator said it was a fully built 920hp Subaru wagon?
