The RB30DET is a hybrid of the Nissan RB series It is custom made by specalist tuners.

This engine can produce 6-800 hp at low revs eg 7500 due to its capacity.

It features in all types of Skyline there are three variants of it RB 20/30 RB25/30 RB26/30

This engine uses the block of the Australia only engine theRB30 which is Single Cam

This mean the cylinder head featured on the engine. The rb25 and 26 both sit without to much problem

but the rb20 requires extensive work to both block and head for it to fit.

That is pretty badass. The RB can now finally have the displacement of the 2jz-gte

I have 5 or so of those blocks if anyone wants to take an rb26 head and drop it on…
Blocks have the crank and pistons in it.

wow you kids are new…

not me :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, it has been around for a while, a long while. Instead of posting about how old it was, I decided to be a little different. I just noticed something though. 7.5:1 compression ratio. Isn’t that a little low, even for a turbo? The 2jz-gte has an 8.5:1 ratio.

well altho it is old. i just found it and thought it would be cool to post.

i dont have all the time in the world to surf about nissan stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

Shame on you!

I wonder how much boost that thing could run with such a low compression ratio. Should swap one into a 240. That would definately be unique, and instantly fatal in the wrong hands.

yea if you dont know throttle control say no to that motor. even better fit one of thoes bad boys in a datsun 510 or 260z and then its a party
throw some high boost to the thing…and welll…if u attach some wings i bet you could fly

It would be badass to swap over the 4 wheel drive drivetrain with that. That is if you just have tons of money lying around and no idea what to do with it all. By that point you may as well just buy an R32. I had no idea that you could get them so cheap in Canada. I saw some in a lot for $10 000 for the GTR

drop it like its hot, hot, but it’s heavy.

Yeah you might have an easier time of doing an LHD conversion on an R32  I know a guy in Cali that does a pretty nice job for $6K…suede dash too!

Oh and I would advise against $10,000 GTRs unless you know the importer. I know Gabe from JapaneseImports.ca and while some of his cars can be rough cosmetically they do run well and he wouldn’t chop a known crap car.

There’s only one left

someone should grab the rb30det and slam it in a plymouth dart or w/e. insted of people putting v8’s in 240’s im sure you can fit that in a nice american car
