How are the electric heli and airplanes? I remember some only had about 15 min of fly time but it seems some of the newer ones have really come a long way.
What track is this?
I have 2 old TC3’s that could probably be revived…
ALso… X-post from wnyrcino…
Anyone ever race here?

track is in Henrietta ny. right near buffalo wild wingies.
ozite track. 35’x80’
racing Tuesday nights, and every other Saturday. next Saturday race is the 9th.
only been running a few weeks and numbers have been really low.
touring car is one of those classes that people get frustrated with because its one of the hardest classes. you need to learn how to set a car up, and keep up on your maintenance. its a hard class to fill. I kind of miss rebuilding motors, but not battery maintenance. dead shorting, charging, discharging, cycling… ugh. lipo and bl have made more time for chassis setup, plus less crap to carry around. one charger, no more cutting comms, no arm lathe, no more taking 10 6 cell packs to the track. not having to buy 10 6 cell packs @60 bucks a pop…
tc3’s were great cars in their time, but fragile. I am running an old xray car and its night and day from the tc3’s I used to absolutely love. better build quality, better durability, etc…
Wow, what a blast from the past to see North Side Hobbies. I used to race there every week when i was like 11 to 15 yrs old. I’ll never forget those metal domed “dots” they used to use in the corners. They would send your car flying into the wall every time lol
I think my car only left the track a few times because of those.
I was always there as a kid… also from 11-15ish 24 years ago sounds like a long time.
^ HAHA Oh man that brings back memories. We were there all the time.
We also used to go to a place called transit speedway. It was a carpet tri-oval indoors and then they built a big oval outside in the back of the building.
I never got to transit much.
I tried to run the asphalt oval whenever I could.
Did my first racing at a track. KRZ Raceway in Batavia, NY. I raced with my B4.2 completely stock. They didn’t water the track so it was dry and slippery with the stock tires. I didn’t do to good but for a first time, not too bad.
I plan to go again next week and see how it goes.
They run from 4pm on Wednesday till 6 or 630 practice before the races, then the racing goes from about 630 till 1030-11. They also do this on Saturdays.
$10 to enter your class, $18 to enter 2 classes…etc. Definitely a great bunch of guys there and helpful. Also was surprised to see I wasn’t feeling out of place with my age, I believe only a handful of people were younger than me (I’m 26)
KRZ is a nice track. there is also an indoor “carpet offroad” track in Rochester too. its nice cause your car don’t get tirty, but too much traction makes it a different beast to tame versus clay/dirt.
Just got a new toy, the Proto X by Estes, the worlds smallest quad-copter.

Came away from the crash at the end with no damage.
Tempted to start my 1/5 scale today… It’s been over a year.
Racing tonight at KRZ raceway in Batavia. I’ll be there for a 3rd week in a row now. 2wd Buggy racing, working on getting a 2wd Short Course to race as well for future races.
Been doing some painting and prepping for racing. I picked up a Associated SC10 recently to race in 2 classes now.
Here’s what we got.
Cool!!! I have savage and a Rs4 MT2, I usually use my MT2 in the snow for fun, its my beater.
AWD truggy, correct? (MT2) Skurge on here has an Rs4 as his drift car.
My basher this up coming summer will probably be my Associated T4.1 so I don’t ruin the racers on an outdoor home built track.
Feel free to jump in on the outdoor track if interested this up coming summer. Got one built and needing updating behind my house.
What’s holding it up from being finished?
