Hey, I was at the track with drag radials on my car, and when I went up to warm up the tires and the rear end bounced around like crazy… is there some kind of stablizer kit I can get? 1992 240sx…hoping to hear from someone who has had this problem!?!
could be shocks are blown. Was it just weel hop? If so, there are subframe collers you guy buy that help get rid of wheel hop. Talk to “Shift_sr20det (Adam).” He knows of good ones.
Lots of cars wheel hop when you have sticky tires. Doesn’t mean your suspension is gone. The RX-8 does it, even a new Mazda3 will do it. Just means the tires haven’t quite broken loose, and they’re not quite sticking.
The collars (or subframe spacers) preload your rear subframe.
If you look at your rear subframe, the 4 crucial points where the subframe
hooksup to your main frame there is a gap. Normally there is a rubber
bushing there but overtime it wears out and doesn’t do much.
The collars just close the gap to prevent the subframe from moving up
and down (which is wheelhop).
I want to try out these subframe collars where can I pick them up…do I have to go to a preformance shop or can I just go to like part source or ct??? and do they have them for specific vehicals or do I have to take the measurments?
Thanks guys, hey by chance does anybody have just one top and bottom subframe bushing?? just curious be cause if I could get my hands on just one or get dimensions I could make my own.
