Recommend me a camera

Hey guys im looking for a simple point and shoot camera. Hopefully around $180 or less. Ive seen alot of like 7+ mp cameras out there but have no clue whats good and whats bad. Also i always here ppl say how much they hate how there cam works so hopefully one that works well and takes a good pic. And im not looking to take poster quality stuff just would like to be able to take nice pics or cars trucks what not just the normal shit.

I just picked up this camera,
Casio Exilim EX-S10 Red 10 Megapixel Digital Camera
3x Optical Zoom / Wide 2.7 Inch LCD / iTunes Compatible Video Format / You Tube Transfer / SD SDHC Memory Card Slot

a little over your budget but a nice camera.

Friend has that one. Loves it. Does a lot of nice photos with it too that he blows up and works great. His reason for buying it too was that he has shaky hands and this one was the best that he tried for the pictures. Also very quick to point and shoot. Not a long delay when you try to take a picture.

check this one out…

Here are some reviews on it.

↑Haha,I was just saying that looked like a good deal. Although it says it has bad reviews on the comments.

I think the picture quality of Sony point-n-shoots are the best but everyone seems to have issues with their cameras, including me, but they all fail well within their warranty period and licensed service shops are local. I’ll definitely stay with Sony for point-n-shoot. If you dissagree, at least stay away from Fuji and Optimus. Worst picture quality EVAR.

I find that Canon’s point and shoot has the clearest picture quality. Sony digicams seem to lack a sharpness when focusing on large objects. Generally speaking. Not all Sonys do, but from the ones I’ve used…

the Canon SD series for point n shoot always gets my vote.

then the Nikon S series, s3, s4, s10…etc

then the casio exilim

then the sony T series

edit: what JayS posted is probably perfect for your needs and budget

I have an Olympus Stylus820. Shoots 3264x2448 in shq (8.0 mp). Can shoot widescreen mode, and about 12 other ranges too. It has a SUPER-EASY to use menu screen on the back. Shhots movies with sound in 3 different qualities, perfect for catching a 1/4 mile pass, or a roll race. Came with a battery charger too, and it’s water-resistant. Was a little over 200 bucks, but that was 5 or 6 months ago.

I like the 2 canon SD Ive had.

Cool thanks guys i ended up going with the canon that jays suggested and micah backed up got a bundle for 202. Came with 2gig card case cleaning supplies and free gift so will see what it is lol. But thanks again for the help.

ebay. I have two cheap japanese cameras that take 2048x1608 ( or w/e the ratio is) pictures. Thats as much as pretty much any camera out there for like under 400 bucks and they only cost like 50 bucks.

No one cares because you suck, which means your camera sucks, as do your pictures. Maybe if you sold your cheap cameras you could buy a pre-paid phone to call court with.

I love my canon SD 750. i think its for sale for 200 at circuit city now. its 7.1 mp i think or more

I got a Samsung S1050 10.1mp off woot awile back, it was about 160 bucks. It takes pretty nice shots, clear, large pictures, SDHC slot up to 4gigs. It does not have a viewfinder which I like because I never use it. So it does burn through batteries quick, I got some rechargable lithium-ions, all set…

Show me ur pictures and we will see which sucks. Not my problem if someone wants t spend 4x as much for the same thing just giving my opinion, maybe next time they will state for ME not to give one but I still will anyway and you can start moving this thread to a different topic. And I don’t need a prepaid one I have a plan. Lets see you do so much with a broken car and no money, but then again your perfect your not stupid enough to not have money.
