Just a quick heads up that the new Red Light Camera’s are up and running.
Below are the intersections that have them installed. Take a look below for any intersections that may be on your path to or from work and take it easy. If it takes a picture of you in violation you could get a $190.00 fine in the mail.

Will it take a pic of you if you are turning left once the light goes amber
then red… cause i was like the 3rd car in the intersection today at don
mills and finch
I always thought that they just took a picture immediately after the light turned red … I don’t know if they have motion sensors or anything so you should be fine.
I believe the cameras take 2 pictures one from across the intersection and one from behind the car. IIRC left turns are okay as long as you were passed the white line before the amber light.
I’m waiting to find out on the photo radar locations.
Apparently all the new red light cameras are actual video camera’s
that record x amount of video after the light had turned red. So when
you pass through they can pause the video at the clearest moment
to grab your plate and send you a snap shot of the vid.
Photo Radar is mobile and can be setup by officers in any location, but usually in the same spot as you’d always see a speed trap. It’s essentially the same as a radar gun except it takes a shot of the license plate, i think. From all the websites I’ve read, it is the EASIEST ticket to win in court. Just ask for disclosure of everything from who calibrated the unit, to how much coffee the officer’s wife made him that morning and it will get thrown out of court. I think Bing is the resident expert on fighting tickets so he should be able to confirm this.
FUCK!
i went through a speed trap a couple days ago going about 12 over in a school zone and the cop didnt pull me over, does this mean i’ll be getting a ticket in the mail???
sorry about the fuck up there at the start.
and that one right above this.
