best drift event ever. So glad I’m not at LVD. Got over 30 runs on a real track.
more pics, a vid, and explainations on the way.

7 cars + 5 hours = too much track time

One of the earlier runs, the only run I filmed, but it was all pretty much the same. Hard to tell the amount of angle. Initiating the bank at the apex most of the time, I tried it before the apex a couple times.
Kil kare is a VERY technical course. Hardest part is the straight after the second banked turn. You run out of revs, so in order to link it you have to rip the e-brake (they told me the correct way to do it is NOT mangi or dori dori, but to take it as one big corner). Definitely learning from these guys.
So the other red hatch is Brooks’ he’s cool, used to drive a black miata. Better driver than me, he has better wheels and silvia front so you can tell our cars apart. The Yellow car belongs to Dennis Mertzanis, I’ll load a vid of him, but he’s ridiculous… but then again, he’s a formula D driver, what do you expect. The organizers told him to do the whole outside oval.

more media when i find it.
While the rest of my Drift Hustle Bros were kicking ass at AIS. I was wasting time out in the midwest.
First I bought a window banner for $206… I mean it came with a free drift event: HIN Chicago had a Pro AM qualifier at soldier field. It was a good time. Met lots of the ClubFR guys. Risky Devil was a no-show though. Apparently they’re all broke. I didn’t like the parking lot, but they’re holding D1 Aug 1st there, and they’ve held Formula D there… I have no idea how. It’s small and the pavement is undulating.
Ended up getting 8th, but I didn’t have a cage so I had to give up my spot.
Then went to a DriftIndy event. That was a good time. Rained hard in the morning, it was very wet, very difficult to drift in. Not to mention the track had lots of pavement transitions.
Full house: 36 drivers, it was crazy. Lots of talent in Indy.
Choked on my qualifying runs, but still got top 16. Don’t know where b/w 9-16th.
painted my sportmax bronze, and got a cage in DRIFT HUSTLE GOLD!
looks good man, what did you do for a cage?
HAHA I was just going to ask you if you painted the sportmax poo brown.
Dude pleasepleaseplease do white wheels. White on red is soooo hot.
Paint naked cheerleaders on roll cage
Looks good dude!
$680 shipped
Yeah… Bronze spray paint doesn’t look like bronze. Naked cheerleaders sounds like a lot of work… I’ve wanted white wheels for soooo long, going to paint the rotas once they get scratched up enough/ When the new wheels go on :ninja

Still can’t wait to slide AIS with DH again. All I can think about!!!
AIS was so much fun, I’ve never had more fun with my car before. Seriously I can not wait until the next event there.
White wheels and carlessly low would make this car the red hot Fiya.
I can design you naked cheerleader vinyl for your car then you can just take it someplace and get it printed out
keepin it real mike! i love how your car is turning out. it’s how i would build a hatch if i had one…love the style.
for sure man.
Gold, Red, Black tandem
Spring 2010.
foooooo shoooooo
Drove in an autoX today, it was pretty lame.
Got to drive this car:
they gave me some trophy for doing something. I think i got from the start to the end pretty quick? i dunno. I wasn’t drifting so it was boring and I kinda zoned out.
If you were drifting, you would’ve gotten there slower.:ponder
Alas, it would have been more dramatic.:lol
vinyl your roof section black.
relive 2001. BRO.
