Relocated battery low voltage grounding issues W/ pics!

For the last week I’ve been having huge problems with my electrics. So as of today I have a brand new battery and I got a new alternator from happy240sx last night.

Everything is now installed but my voltage is still low!! Car is running fine though. At idle I’m in the 12.5-7 range. On the cruise 12.2-5 range. And what worries me the most is when I’m between 4000 up in the rpms I’ve seen it as low as 11.7.

I’ve had problems with this before I got a new alt and battery and was told to increase my grounds because the battery is in the back. (i got the car with this done so i’m not 100% sure how it was done)

So here are some pics of what I’ve done but my voltage is still too low for me to be happy.

fallowing 3 are me trying to ground the block better. If they should be in better locations please let me know.

Next 2 are what I’ve done at the battery I even added a second ground to the side post on the battery.

I have made sure to sand down to bare metal on everything i added.

So what else can i do? do i have a short somewhere? other than my batt and alt dying I’ve never noticed any other electrical problems.

My sound system and electric fans will drop the voltage by .1 each when there on which makes the ranges I stated before even lower.

Any help would be great I don’t want to ruin another alternator or battery.

Most likely a short somewhere… can you start the car without boosting it

yeah theres never a problem starting it. An the battery seems to hold charge whenever I turn just the accessories on it read’s high 11’s

do u have a an actual voltmeter or are u using the gauge in ur car??

I’m using a apexi safc to read it. I’m assuming its fairly accurate.

Try putting another ground from the motor to the chassis.
Also make sure your ground from the battery is good.

Where would you put the the other ground. I post the pictures so I could get some advice on were to locate them I just put them were ever i found a bolt that was holding a bracket or something like that.

As for checking the ground I don’t have a multimeter so I can’t really check that to well but how would I do that just make sure the current is the same at the start of ground as at the battery?
