relocating battery

stop trying to drag this thread on its over k?

cable arent that expensive, just try to make the ground as short as you can

You need a kill switch to run at the track with the battery in the trunk…

and if your defense is “well my dad does” its because his car is fucking slow…

actually wut guage wire would i need ?

Summit sells kits to relocate the battery…btw

i allready know that,… wut guage wire would i need ?

thats only for regular race days, the show type events dont require it, and its not slow ass just dosnt get traction to put the power to the ground

Most people run 2 gauge I think…at least thats what the kits come with.

k thanks

you can use 4 gauge

(fox) mustang starters are high amperage units. I ran 4 gauge in a fox, and had too much voltage drop to the solenoid (wouldn’t turn the starter). Went to stranded 1/O welding cable, no problem.

$2.19 / ft, ~15’ ~$40 shipped.

I did it in mine, it sucked so bad. Half the time the car wouldn’t start cause of the lower voltage. I was constantly jumping the battery, I ended up moving it back up front. Haven’t had a problem since
