I have the remote starter from my 01 dodge intrepid and want to put it in my 03 chevy avalanche, anyone know what parts might be needed and how much it would cost to install
give first-bass a call, you’ll need either a more expensive part, or a combination of two parts if you want the door locks to work. 2003 Avalanche is a pretty easy truck to work with if you have the right parts. What kind of starter is it? how old? depending on how old it is, and the brand it might make just as much sense to have a new one put in. I tend to re-use 'em on my car (the wife’s is the third car it was in & the one I took out of the car I just traded in was about 6-7 yrs old) but I’m doing all the work myself
i just looked its an avital and its about 3 or 4 years old but has beeen sitting for the last 2 years, and i want the door locks to work from the remote
did you happen to catch the model number/name on the unit. The older Avital wouldn’t be worth putting in. However if it was made after DEI bought them, then it’s pretty much a bulletproof piece. Get ahold of First-Bass (F-B-A on the board) he can shoot details on pricing, the piece you need should be a 456gw if I remember right.
give first-bass a call,
and i am almost positive its a dei
It should be, and you should be able to see Directed Electronics written somewhere on the back side of the case.
he does like 5 of them a day…give him a call he’ll know exactlly wat to do
OMG! U are like the lil fucking midget mini me in a lousy $300.00 homemade commercial saying"Go to first bass! I love him, he is the bestest installer in the whole wide world!"…SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY! U are doing nothing but giving ur cousin a bad fucking name n rep, please STFU!:tool:
