Removing coolant + tranny fluid stains from driveway...

So yea how do I do it? Looks like I need some kinda industrial (non-toxic) cleaner to remove this shit off my driveway.

Makes it look real bad because everyone else is so clean. :hsugh:

Please specific products and where I can obtain it.

i didn’;t know coolant made stains?

for tranny oil you can use brake cleaner. Thats what I use.

Well yea coolant didn’t. Just that I had tranny fluid puddle and then the
coolant poured everywhere

Me being an ass mixed it (it was at night and I couldn’t see).

Home Depot have anything industrial like? :dunno:

Zepp had a product which didnt work for shiet

Stick to brake cleaner and just let it sit if u have to.
Or try using ACE… I haven’t tried that tho… They’ve got it at HD

Thanks mate. Will have to try the stuff at Home Depot.

Brake Cleaner is like $7/bottle and looks like I would need a good half a
dozen bottles :noes:

heavy duty degreaser? IIRC they have driveway degreaser.
Or rent a power washer

dont use brake cleaner it will melt the driveway and make a bigger stain!!! haha i did it like 2 weekes ago :frowning:

Ok, then what do you suggest?

Andrew:
Will look into heavy duty degreaser.

I’m telling you a power washer will work.

yes but I would first use the power washer ciphon to to foam (soap-dawn gets grease out?) the driveway, allow to sit, 15 mins?, then power wash full strength

yeah i need to too! but i think im just going ot repaint my driveway :?

i found citrus based dish soap gets out the stains. And repaving dosnt help  it just comes threw.

I used Simply Green – worked well on Tranny Oil

Power washing should work, besides I think your driveway has bigger problems now as well…

Look for something called “TSP” tri-sodium-phosphate.
But first pour some baking soda on there, let it soak up, wash it off.
THen add the TSP, it usually comes as a powder, mix it with some water into a paste and spread it on and then scrub around.
Wash that off.

It should make a decent difference.
My dad’s minivan was leaking tranny fluid (gee could it be a dodge??) and that solved it.
