Reservation gas

this story was not hearsay, i saw the car all torn apart, and the bill/description from mazda

this is a good friend of mine that lives 1 block from me

I guess in the back of my mind this thread is exactly what I was thinking…:gotme:

lol u guys are funny, ive been going to the res for years with my DD, not a single problem, do some research and dont listen to the rumors.

fuckin’ A. I’ve lived practically on the res for over 20 years and have taken at least 7 different cars there. if you enjoy getting more cash taken out of your pocket for the same thing, do it up.

I did one better than research, I did some tests myself. My 98 Ranger 4.0 V6 got considerably less miles per full tank using rez gas than non-rez gas. I haven’t had the Ranger for over 3 years, but I’ve never put rez gas in any of my vehicles since. I never felt a difference while driving it, and never had a single problem with the engine, but the MPG difference was enough that it made the non-rez gas actually CHEAPER.

So those of you getting it all the time, start checking your mileage. You’ll have to do it over several tanks to average it out, and you’ll need to drive close to the same way all the time, but if you do I can pretty much guarantee you won’t be buying rez gas once you see the results.

True true, no need for name calling. Those “fuckers” are the reason I have a job and that my company is able to work. My only question was about the integrity of the gas.

Yeah I live down the road from the tonawanda rez by akron. I will NEVER use rez gas again. I use to fill up there once in a while but never again. In the past i have gone through 3 fuel filters full of sludge. they dont turn their tanks and you get full of sediment and shit. they also delute the hell out of it and it makes your car/truck run like ass. It does depend on where you go, on the akron rez, NEVER ever ever go to 49 express. YOU WILL REGRET IT! the only places that are semi decent are Arrowhawk, tp deli and The Rez. Though i do not go there myself, I dont trust thair rip off fuel to save my life.

Oh, and this will all be a moot point once Spitzer gets in office. He’ll be shutting down the tax free to non-native racket real quick. First cigs, then gas.

I wouldn’t buy a bucket of water from the rez if my car was on fire. I’ve never set foot in their casinos, and never will.

^^ that sounds like something deeper than just their gas. care to elaborate? you racist fuck.

edit- hahaha @ myself

After personally seeing 2 of my relatives vehicles or boats break down due to water in the gas from the res. when they filled up on the way down to Chataqua, I will never buy gas there. (it was the place with the purple awnings BTW)

Jeller

Boats, especially outboards, are much more likely to have issues with low quality gas. It’s another telltale sign that the gas is not the same as off rez gas. Just because you get gas there all the time and your car doesn’t have problems doesn’t mean much. A modern vehicle’s computer can compensate for all kinds of issues. Like I said earlier, keep track of your mileage for a month, then do the same using non-rez gas. If you do it honestly I can almost guarantee the non-rez gas will return better MPG.

I agree 100%

just watch the station your buying it from… I wouldnt buy it from a doublewide with a pump out front on some backroad lol… but a reputible place, I have no problems with it.

just some food for thought… I’ve never really had a problem with res gas… yet when I had the lincoln I filled up @ sunoco on NFB and it killed the car (or atleast plugged the fuel filter something fierce… had to change it twice). they must of been running low on petrol

One of the biggest things to watch for is that their actually giving you a full gallon of gas, opposed to slightly less.

Some of the reservation gas stations don’t have the “certification” stickers on the side of the pump, those are the ones to watch for, as for the others, I wouldn’t really worry about it.

My “thrifty” uncle [think Mr. Burns from the simpsons] has been using that gas for about 20 years and never had a gas related problem with his cars.

X…

LOL gas comes from just a few refineries, there are no indian owned gas refinery that I know of… There is like 3 main companies that own them, like shell, mobil, etc…

As far as how they keep the tanks and pump, thats another story, but the gas all comes from the same refinery.

My ma drove her little Ford Ranger for 130k mostly using res gas then traded it in for a newer one

im a res. gas user cuz its right near my house. i never hgad a problem, my car runs better with normal station gas but its not killin it that much on the res. every few tanks i put gas treatment in just to be safe. but it dose matter weither you go to a big station compared to a little one in the middle of no were.

I dunno, I never have nor will i put it in my TA. Like i said, I use to use it but after gettign sick of replacing fuel filters i quit. never had any problems since.

Gas IS a mixture of chemicals. It’s a big mixture of hydrocarbons. Adding other chemicals to it would be more expensive than the gas itself.
