Resignation.....

Seriously just sit down with your boss, explain that an opportunity has arose, and you thank him for the time and experience. Provide 2 weeks notice, and if your job requires more than 2 weeks to find a replacement and you are willing to entertain that idea then offer to assist.

When I left to come to DC I sat down with my boss on a Friday, explained the job offer, and when he heard it he knew he couldn’t match it (as it was 30% more than he was making) he wished me best of luck, and then actually had me help in the hiring of my replacement.

thanks for the advice!^^

BUMP

I am going through the process very shortly with my current employer. I am opting for graduate school for my MBA, and a sales position just isn’t where I want to be.

How does it work with health insurance?? as I have a few appt’s in a couple weeks for my sinuses and I don’t want to be without insurance right away.

You are usually covered till the end of the month if they let you go/quit. I would wait till after appointments though.

I plan to, and once the grad school acceptances go through.

IDK man, it’s a tough call right now…

you answered your own question just say i loved my position here, but bigger and better things await). if they dont understand then are retarded
