first off dan supplied the steel for the pipe, and thats what cracked, if he had used the DOM that the fab guys suggested it wouldn’t have broken. notice that it cracked, not on the MANIFOLD, like you said it would but on the pipe supplied by the owner of the setup.

Seriously… I dont see why anyone should bag on you for this. It was a learning experience, and you didn’t talk out your ass about what the mani could or couldnt do. Now we have first hand experience/evidence as to what it can and cant do.
i’d like to mention that i Dan and i have the EXACT same manifold and had it coated at the same place at the same time.
my manifold is holdin up fine.

Actually, there was no discussion about the quality of the steel I provided… but it’s all irrelevent.
Truthfully, I’m still confident that there is someone out there that can get the right combination of fab design, steel and weld to make this an option.
That person just wasn’t me.
