It’s for Sunday not actual Vday

Seriously I’m fucking fuming!!! Not many restaurants in Buffalo use open table like in other major cities. You want me to call to make reservations? What is this the fucking 90s
Ugh work is busy today

OK - ended up going with Hutches, which is much better, and they use Open Table like all restaurants should.
LOL this isn’t NYC and is there really a need? If you make reservations for a holiday in a reasonable amount of time, you can get a table. On non-holiday nights a table for two can be found almost anywhere. WITH that being said, I’m all for using technology for stuff like this, but truthfully most businesses haven’t even mastered the website yet.
I like Open Table, but I’m also capable of making a phone call
open table is a necessity.
I use the heck out of that shit.
Yes, but you’re old enough that you still have enough social skills to talk to another human being.
Well done.
I refuse to spend any money at lake effect, or any of his other resturaunts because of his insane attempt to stop food trucks in buffalo. If you like the food trucks in buffalo I suggest you stay away from
Lake effect
The steer
Woodys
Dugs dive
Fuck that guy.

I don’t think I’d go out of my way for any of those (never been to any of them). Honestly, as Bulldog on WGR said, if you’re worried about people eating a taco from a truck on the curb outside your resturaunt and taking business away; you probably are doing something wrong with your restaurant.
I’m not saying this has to be NYC, but I get 400 minutes a month for my phone, I use like 6 a month. Bills, ordering out, doctors appointments, emails, etc are all online, just like I like my restaurant reservations, ESP for fine dining. No I don’t plan on using open reservation for panos and towne, but if I’m gonna spend 150$ a person to eat for for 90 minutes, yes I expect it to be online at my ultimate convenience. This is America, if you don’t like it, geeeeeeeeet ouuuut.

Uh thank you! But you live in Toronto? Oh yes a city of the future, open table would make sense.
I’d like resturaunts to at LEAST fill out the google entry for their business…Then I can see “Are You Open?” “Is this cash only?” etc. Then we can get into technology. How about places start excepting CCs more often (FFFFFUUUUUU Vizzi’s)
i use open table everywhere… especially in a pinch with a large party you can just search by who has room for 8 or 12 or more…
used it in Palm Springs a bunch a couple weeks back for that very reason… highest rated inside 5 miles that can seat 10 right now… open table is a must.
Bing. Any reviews on Ruby Watchco or Skin & Bones?
Coming next Thursday, staying at Le Germain and hitting the auto show on Friday.
I haven’t been back since he started with all the food truck bullshit. I love that lloyd has a line down the block a few blocks away from the Steer every Friday night(even as cold as it’s been).

They don’t want to have to pay the transaction fees.
i do not know those places. also, i dont live in Toronto either.
what are you looking for?
if you head west up King st. you’ll find buttloads of rad stuff. same with Queen, College and Dundas.
just depends on how many monies you want to spend.
go up Queen to Ossington and go up Ossington… a stack of new stuff up there too.
Wow did not know this, thanks for the heads up. I don’t think I’ll be going back then any time soon.
Anyone ever hear of Remington Tavern in NT? Guess they are the same company/owners as Hutch’s and Tempo’s…at least that’s what the individuals said who answered the phone at both places.
I have not been there but have heard Remington is good.
I have been a few times, and it is pretty good overall. Some of the best mussels that I’ve ever had, but the rest of the food wasn’t really as good as many of the other places mentioned in this thread. The restaurant itself is pretty sweet though, I believe it is a re-purposed train depot.
It is a good spot to grab a light bite and some drinks for sure
Was just there last night for dinner. I thought the food was very good, service was outstanding as well. I had salad, Jambalaya penne pasta with chicken, andouille sausage, and shrimp, and cassata cake for dessert.
