So I am getting my truck rustproofed this winter. This is the first time i get a vehicle rustproofed.
I am getting some little rust fixed on the truck and the body guy told me he also does rust proofing. It’s 200$ and it’s paraffin. He puts everywhere except under the car since he says it’ll just get washed away.
CT does it with grease for like 80 bucks. I worked there and don’t want to bring my car there.
I could go to Metropolitan (I don’t know if you guys have this in Ontario, but they are a huge chain in Quebec.) They use oil I believe and they charge like 100-120 I think. They drill holes.
What should do you guys recommend? There is also a Krown near here.
really, Wal Mart does good rust proofing? I need my S13 rustproofed for this winter, I’ll start storing it next winter. I heard that the guys at Eglinton & Kennedy do a decent job as well for 80 bucks, not sure though.
I used to work for Krown here in Barrie… You won’t believe how many people came in asking us to redo their vehicle because the other companies do a lousy job.
We had an '86 Corolla come in. The lady who owned it was the original owner. Rustproofed at Krown since day one… Winter drove it every year…
Cleaner than most new cars…
Suck it up… spend the extra $30 -$50 it would cost at Krown and have it done right…
I’ve been to Krown about 3 times now and I can’t really complain other than the oil dripping (~5 days)…
I’m gonna take the subbie there again this year.
^Yes… They are only half decent if the car is brand new with NO rust on it already… Other than that they dudn’t appear to do much on the vehicles I serviced.
