I bought 25 Lb’s of dry ice from irish welding supply on clinton and baily. It ended up working pretty good to take care of the tar on the floor pans.
no real pics of that but it should be apparent in the next few pics.
ive got back into seam welding recently and ive been getting better as I go but my skill still leaves a lot to be desired
I still need to clean some residue off the floors. anyone have any knowledge as to what would work?
I also started my first automotive painting over my spring break. im redoing the car in the stock red once I get experienced enough. for now here is some suspension parts I did in a generic silver:
Thank you Jim, for letting me take part in your glorious project by donating my single amazing stitch weld to your front left fender. The power of my amazingness alone will keep your car stiffer than my whang during the entirety Army Of Darkness.
so I know I havent updated this shit in a while but here goes:
the reason for this was mostly because I was just seam welding for 2+ months in my spare time and it was getting so fucking boring I was even starting to lose interest in the project. I stuck it out though and finally got the gas tank and rear suspension back up today.
what im doing next is painting the engine bay and the interior in the stock nissan red and then putting it all back together, hoping to get it going before the trackday on june 6th.
Im going to do the bodywork over the summer and paint the outside when its ready.
heres a few more things I cant wait to throw back in there
DOHC KA with 80k miles. lots of free mods such as egr delete, secondary butterfly removal, e fans, ac removal, ect. I also have a spec stage 2+ and a couple other things ready to go for the summer.
in the winter I plan to piece together a t25 kit to get it up to hopefully 200 wheel.
heres my real crossmember thats waiting to go in until the bay is painted. it has tein inners and outers, energy rack bushings and new lca’s with new ball joints from pdm racing. I also burned out the bushings in the lcas and put energy ones in.
im going to have to fab a PS return line as well because this is a sohc rack and I sold my dohc PS return line with my old 240
