as the title says, i want to repair my ignition barrel if possible.
The backpart where the wires are soldered on are is loose, so sometime’s it won’t ingage the starter unless i push it in and jimmy it a lil.
everything function when i turn the keys except when it won’t engage the starter.
I would buy a new or used one but don’t because i’m in north bay and don’t want to have to drive 4hrs to the gta to pick up a used one, also the car will be going into storage soon.
i dont think u can take it out … … time for a remote starter … or push button start
You can take the back part off by removing the one philips screw holding it on. This is the actual electrical switch. The key lock part is one with the column.
I have removed mine and fixed it before as I had the same issue as you.
