cleaning the engine pay and motor go a long way to making your car look that much more baller…depending on what kind of abuse your planning on giving the car you could stich weld the seams…
I believe you are looking to change the fluid, as you cant flush a diff. A flush intercepts a system fluid circulates (not saying a diff doesn’t, but read on) and uses the pressure of the system to exchange the depleted/contaminated fluid with fresh fluid. Good examples of a flushable systems would be transmission (auto), or cooling system. Anyways, you are on the right track with addressing all the rust and the hard to get to areas while the motor’s out. It’d be a good time to check out brake lines, steering rack, etc. DEFINETLY give that engine bay a firm once over seeing as it’s empty,…make it clean, because emptiness is loneliness, and loneliness is cleanliness, and cleanliness is godliness, and god is empty just like…Billy Corgan,
i highly recommend picking up a steering column bushing and replacing that while the motor is out. and by steering column bushing i mean pick up a solid aluminum one (bing usually sells these).
best ~$20 you’ll ever spend on your car.
also make sure to go over your heater core lines too, making sure all the rubber is still pretty fresh (check for cracks).
my s13 is pretty raddy right now… so i dunno how much $$$ to dump in, i was only planning on keeping it for another year or so till i buy a kouki, who does brake/fuel lines? how much does it usually cost? ive done it on sterndrives but that shit is dumbass easy…
also, what parts are interchangable between s13 and s14(try not to waste money and only buy transferable upgrades)
It’s supposed to dampen the vibrations sent from the slave to your foot…and it’s a BITCH to bleed. I dropped mine out of my first 240, didn’t really notice a difference.
