Lemme know if it’s possible and how much approx you’d charge to fix. Thanks.

Jon

edit: sorry for some reason I think my original thread was deleted…
here is what my original thread was… lemme know if you guys can help me out… thanks

Wow. I don’t know man, I know I can’t, Bobby probably not, Chris may know or another guy we know, James, may be able to do something. I don’t know man… keep posted, I’ll ask the guys.
later

thanks alot, I look forward to hearing from you.

Jon

please explain the downfalls and bonus’s of going vlsd or welded or aftermarket rear differential and the differences…
I Hhave a fairly good idea but any real world experience would help.

also (if you know) what are the common final drive gear ratios of most Nissan’s? (4.11:1 or 3.73:1 or 3.55:1 or whatever)
(I have never gotten an answer to this question)
thanks!!

Ok, one of our guys says he is able to fix it. I work in Mississauga and will be going to Niagara on the 4th after work (late evening). If you could get the part to me before the 4th I can bring it up and hopefully have it back on the 6th when I come back to town.

hit me up on PM to discuss.

Patrick

Bobby may be able to help you out with this one as he has experience with all 3 types…

This is what I’ve come up with and seems to be standard across the board.
4.083

hmmm, can’t edit…
The 4.083 is for the S13/S14

Well this forum seems quite dead lol i guess I’m trying to enter the drifting game a lil too late lol. If anybody still reads this thread lemme know I got a shit load of questions

What’s your questions? This is an old ass thread, but shoot. And it’s never to late to get into drifting!

siick. I thought thiss thread was dead and gone.
Well basically, I just wanna know how to get started. I live in brampton and don’t know many 240 guys, or any guys that are into drifting. I know of 1 guy that drifts but i can never talk to him without seeming like I’m bothering him by bombarding him with questions lol. So I try not to bother him. I really wanna go out to some track days next year but I need some pointers on where to start. What to do, where to do it(<<especially this one) how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. How did you, or anyone in s1dc get started?
I don’t know if this matters but I drive a 93 s13 equipped with a hicas lock bar, 2.5 inch straight pipe(very loud…like extremely loud lol) falken 245/50/r16’s in the back and falken 195/50/r16’s int he front, and tein struts and springs, and a v-lsd. I’m using this car for the winter which is why i didnt purchase coilovers or any other significant suspension upgrades. I just wanna get started with what I have so when I by my next car in the spring I’ll have an idea of what I’m doing. I don’t know if that makes sense to you lol

Hey sorry for the late reply. It doesn’t take to much to be able to start learning how to drift. Many people will aggree that it is best to start off with the most minimal setups so that you can learn technique before you add all the power and suspension setups that are there to help.

A good start would be good set of lowering springs and shocks, atleast a vlsd, a bucket seat, and a drift knob. Get good rear brake pads as the ebrake doesn’t like to work after a little while with shitty brake pads on the rear.

Drifting doesn’t have to be expensive as long as you get the bare essentials and as you become more comfortable with it start upgrading ur suspension and your power. Learn the techniques and try them out at track days.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask. This thread may be old but its not dead and we are still very willing to help

Hey since this thread came back to life. On YouTube where is that piece of pavent located where u guys are practicing.

That’s long gone now. That was probably like 8 or 9 years ago

Thanks
