no you wont be, because the retail store is closed.
SONOFABITCH!!!
OK time to check the beer dork bars for it…
Alternative Brews has oatmeal stout on tap. Speaking of which, why have we not had a beer and cigars meet?
EDIT: Oh yeah, the total lack of vag at a cigar bar. You single guys… :tif:
No dice at the Tap Room, at least not on their menu. They’re pushing their own beers.
The fuck bags at Brew Pub don’t have anything from Flying Bison.
Nothing at Consumers.
No dice at the Ale House.
WTF?
Alternative Brews is like 0-lung cancer in 3.9.
Yeah but they’ve got the best beer selection in Buffalo.
yea, i’ve already had a heart attack. not trying to have another anytime soon…
The grayish brown color of every surface in there that used to be white kind of scares me. Plus I ruined an expensive coat there…I was there for 2 hours and I’ve never been able to get the smell out of it.
coles and goodbar have pretty good selections. coles has limited space and goodbar has lots of hippies though.
SBAG has flying bison on tap, but usually just aviator or octoberfest when it is in season
Bah. Coles doesn’t have a website.
Goodbar has the scotch ale and oatmeal stout. Not bad.
Brennans has aviator.
Was just at SBAG last night, Scotch Ale is on tap!
If the Matts do buy out FB, I doubt they’d change much, other than brew exactly what they said in the article. They are really down to earth people… some my family has worked for them for years. My sister knows them personally even though she only worked as a tour guide during her summers home from college.
This is too bad, Tim is a very genuinely nice person, it’s not very often that a business owner is as down to earth and friendly as this guy. I’ve known him about three years now and he’s always been a good guy. Very sad to hear they’re not doing so well right now.
Bump because I’m still drooling and they open up again two weeks from today. :evolve:
I think the OTM group needs to work on team building skills there.
The VPSA group did. :gotme: Flying Bison tour and tasting, catered by Susy Q’s barbecue IIRC.
Brewery aims for production next week
Things are quiet at Flying Bison Brewing Co., but the brewery is expected to be back up and running under new ownership by Monday.
Shareholders at the homegrown Buffalo brewery voted to accept an offer from F. X. Matt Brewing Co., the Utica-based makers of Saranac beer. But the brewery remains in “paperwork limbo.”
“We are not producing beer right now. We’ve got to have all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed before we can get some malt in here and start making beer again,” said Tim Herzog, a founder of Flying Bison, who will stay on under an employment contract with F. X. Matt. “I’m expecting most of it to be wrapped up by the end of the week.”
Herzog wanted to assure concerned fans that Flying Bison wasn’t going anywhere.
“We are still at 491 Ontario St. The tanks are still here. I’m still here,” he said.
