Salvage Question

ok, you have to read the post about this car FS -

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/vehicles-sale-non-lsx-powered/1073815-03-cobra-oxford-white-coupe-55k-miles-12k.html

Does anyone know how hard it would be to get this titled in NY???

Thanks in advance

the salvage inspection takes about 3 weeks now.

you will have to have reciepts for all the parts he used to fix it
everything has to be new spec, and if any of the parts are stolen, your done.

edit: they have some info on the dmv site http://www.nysdmv.com/salvexam.htm

I think you would have to take it and have it looked at down on dingen(spelling ?)street. As far as i know they will look it over and hopefully pass it.If the check engine light is on though i think that will have to be fixed though,to pass NY inspection. Also i think they will look it over very good to make sure what ever repairs that were done are good quality and save.My uncle did this years ago for a truck that was hit by a train, they had the truck for 2 months before he got it back. That was 10 years ago so it might be a faster turn around now.I am not sure of this car being out of state if there any drawbacks to getting it inspected though.
