San Diego and surrounding areas. What to do?

I was born in and grew up in San Diego but now days have a hard time remembering names and places…isn’t there a little shopping area on the water…I think they might have an old wooden roller coaster or something too (might be wrong there)…starts with a B maybe? I remember going there all the time growing up and while visiting and loved it…F…help me out here…?

Balboa Park?

balboa park is where the zoo is, nice place.

I’m not sure how the water or beaches are in winter but definitely recommend surfing or at least body boarding.
