Well I figured I would toss up an update seeing how the last post was over a month ago.
Well, the car is just hanging out in the garage all put together. Just needs her fluids and a base map to start up. Next week or so (most likely 2 weeks id say) I will be purchasing a Quarter Master clutch, coilovers (still deciding on what ones to go with, probably Megans because I’m not looking to spend much on them), new mini battery kit and new tires.
Then I’ll be taking her for a tune. I will post updates and pictures soon
i think D2 makes coilovers for your car, they make em for mine. megans were 985 for me, and D2s were like 765, and D2 is a much higher quality than megan. or buddy club makes them for 1085$, swerve can prob get you them under 1k
want me to check with sponsors on hondatech? out of all the forums im on they always have much better deals for suspension than evom or dsmtuners, even if it’s not a honda
sure eric check for me if you want. Im open to others, Im mainly looking for stance to be honest. Im not a 1/4 mile junkie.
As for tuning Im not sure. Buschur was one idea, Ive been down there a couple of times I wouldnt mind taking a mini vacation there for a tune. Breetime recommended a shop whose name is blurry to me right now, I dont think Ill email tune again and Klemman might not be up here soon enough for me. As for local tuning… eh idk yet
Actually, Megan’s are awesome on Evos. The D2, Buddy Club, and Megan are all the same part, so comparing them doesn’t do too much
But yeah, a lot of records or close-to-records are set with Megan coilovers on evos, they perform great, ride better than stock, and save 40 pounds over the stock suspension. It’s good
Uh, no…
BC (NOT buddy club) Makes Megan, some of the apexi coilover shit, some of the D2 models. D2 Makes coilovers for several other companies. BC (NOT buddy club) have outlasted megans, if you’re going to daily the car and put more than 5k miles on it a year, and dont want to replace the coilovers in 2 years, then DON’T get megans.
Buddy club has 2 different models of coilovers, the lower end and racing spec, the race spec is not manufactured by megan/bc… i believe the lower end is, but the adjustability is different compared to megans
You get what you pay for. They make 2400$ Tein coilovers, and they make 800$ ones, just because they both say tein doesnt mean they are equal
Well I bought coilovers and a mini battery kit off of Neonglh. I tossed those in and gave my car a low stance. It is mainly for looks because I’m not always at the track so I could care less. I have to do some rolling in the back and I need to run a spacer on the fronts due to clearence issues because the spring is just touching my tire due to my offset.
But basically here is tonights progress. Also the front is going down a tad lower when I toss spacers on there.
did matt pull his car out for you to install your coilovers or are people’s cars gone now lol?
im getting zee talon back this weekend, time for storage for teh snky :snky:
