Wow, looks awesome joe, it really cleaned up well with the new setup. Looks great!, ill have to get over to yourplace sometime this week to see it in person…
nice setup…looks real clean
im really surprised you didnt put headstuds while you were in there, very cheap insurance. but you should be ok with the power you’ll be at. looks good though, that will be a nice setup.
thanks for getting my TB tool back to me real fast as well
Thanks everyone, and Paul thanks for loaning me it
YOU ARE SUCH A STALKERRRRRRRRRRRR
nice work sir.
You can do headstuds without pulling the cams on these cars, right? The stupid 2.4L srt motor requires you to pull the cams to do the head studs, which was always a pain in the ass…
looks great, how much power should you gain for the turbo swap?
very well done …seeing evo owners pushing the whp up gets me excited;)
yes you can.
and mine leaked after that. Many stock headbolt cars out there with no issues at all. If I were to do it again, I would have never touched them, unless I was removing the head. Just my .02
yes, there is a chance of it leaking, but thats the chance you take. i as well wouldnt put them in unless i pulled the head, but thats just me.
i would always do them while your in there, im just paranoid lol
I’ve been watching headstud threads on evoM since 2003… the conclusion I’ve made is that replacing them without removing the head is just as shady as not doing them at all so it’s a wash. Also, I’ve never seen a case where the stock ones caused a real problem until you’re over 450whp and even then I can’t think of a case (mostly because people have upgraded at this point?)
Yeah, Ive seen a few cases on EvoM where the head gasket leaks oil from not taking the head off to do the head studs.
I guess its going to depend on my tune. Ive seen similar to exact setups that have made 330-to closer to 4 on pump. Im thinking closer to mid 3’s hopefully
compared to the stock 270ishhh??
(totalnondsmguyapproximation)
either way, cool beans:tup:
Ha ITS 271 GET IT RIGHT!!! haha j/k, yeah I hope to have some fun in her this year. Last year I had those minor bolt ons stated in earlier posts with out a tune all summer. My car was a dog, then I got the tune in fall and it was night and day but cold and shitty.
should be a lot more fun now. Geesh these cars respond so well to mods.
Also thats crank, Im talking about wheel on the new set up
:fry:
