Wait, lets register Muslim extremists.
First they say, Just register your firearms.
Then they know who’s door to knock on and what guns to ask for.
Cars aren’t likely to be outlawed and confiscated.
Guns will NEVER be outlawed. Our government can’t even agree on tax legislation, do you honestly think that they could arrange a mass confiscation of hundreds of millions of weapons?
We do its called the no fly list
Yet it still managed to fuck up travel for people who are 0 threat like small children.
Delta once asked me to switch flights at baggage check. It was a direct/faster flight so I agreed. They put me through a 1 hour search and interogation as to why I would switch flights so abruptly.
In one swoop, nope. Honestly. They could chip away with outlawing this type and that one. I see no threat to my hunting weapons at this point. Within 50 years? Who knows.
guns are never going to be outlawed in America. They couldn’t if they wanted to and passed every possible law. Never would happen and they never would try.
maybe high cap mags. and ARs.
I’m okay with them taking away guns in 50 years, aslong as I can keep my raygun and laser rifles.
If I was going argue gun control I would argue the only way to actually cause an impact would be ban all weapons.
Then wait 200-300 years for the guns/ammo supply to dry up and look back at my accomplishments.
Now during those 200-300 years I could address the real reasons reasons the US has a high level of homicide like the high levels of inner city poverty, shitty parentings in the suburbs, lack of proper mental health care.
Right now people are trying to “make people feel better” by trying to implement some form of gun control that doesn’t actually address any causes of crime or prevent anything from happening.
Its hilarious the same time people are having this debate on here states have been passing laws backing off on gun control.(http://www.nraila.org/legislation/state-legislation/2012/12/ohio-governor-kasich-signs-into-law-important-pro-gun-reform-bill-today.aspx)
Look at other things that have happened in the past banning Alcohol which in turn started organized crime which we still deal with
Federal government banned weed now multiple states are making it legal
The government can’t protect you from evil people no matter how much control you give them.
Hand held Ray guns in 50 years? Shitte, I’m still waiting for Proton Packs to get out of the prototype phase…
Yep…
:fail:
Please refer to post #476 and answer my question.
So I think we are arguing about the wrong shit.
Hide your call of duty and battle field
So I’m not the only one listening to Wayne live right now. Ugh… seriously NRA, that’s where you’re going to go? Blame the video games? Speech was going good when they were talking about a national registry for insane people and how the administration has stopped prosecuting gun crime.
He is calling out the media which I like
Video games :tif:
Good response I saw on another forum I’m on…
I have a love affair with Lady Ruger and I don’t want to give her up quite yet. Guns are addictive and there is nothing like the sensation of pure explosive power that flows out of a smoking barrel. Not to mention the amount of home armories filled to the brim with military grade equipment down south here is lovely eye porn. And out of all the families that I know that have access to this high powered weaponry very few have ever had to draw them against other human beings.
Having lived in a lower income urban zone the long nights of gun shots, gangs, and brutal criminal activity made me feel sick to my stomach. But to think that stripping away a mechanical tool is going to stop the violence is about as effective as the criminalization of drugs which were cheap and plentiful around the streets.
Man is the problem and until the proper systems of social infrastructure are created in our cities as well as effective and preventative law enforcement commanded by trustworthy public servants backed by a community that trusts its own members - there will be violence and fear of violence. Stripping weaponry away from citizens is seen as an act by those in power of telling those citizens that they are not to be trusted with such tools. The response is that those in power are the ones not to be trusted and it is a very true statement considering the bad blood and foul histories of certain rackets and law agencies.
The gun is the equalizer and is perhaps a comforting trinket in communities where fear and distrust always lingering overhead.
Guess which part of the speech the media is going to talk about. :roll2:
I blame The Matrix Trilogy.
The concept was not ban video games it was be more responsible.
lol at proper systems of social infrastructure. You mean like a caste system? Would we let untouchables have guns?
It is a cultural issue, video games definately are not helping.
