Thank you a fellow owner who knows what i mean, if you dont own a scion you have no idea. Like he said ive been to countless tracks, shows, parties, club events all on there money, open bar for scion owners.
How many car companies do you know that takes there owners to a ski resort for 3 days all paid for, or takes them to the poconos to race nascars for a weekend all paid for. Its far beyond the cool stuff we get and the treatments. Ive meet so many people thru scion and have made tons of friends.
How many of you have sat down with the big wigs of your car company and have them ask you what you want them to do, ask you for your ideas. The things they do is amazing and unlike any sub 20k car company to do.
But everyone can keep hating dont matter to me anyone, i love scion and they things they do for there owners.

Yeah, we can talk about sub-20k cars with a sense of community; I drive a MINI Cooper. It’s like being on a Harley - most of the time, when you see another MINI, the drivers wave to each other. There’s a motorsports presence in SCCA, and other car clubs, and it’s a good entry level performance driving car.
I care more about a cool car than a cool car company. I’m delighted that you’re happy with yours, though, and I mean that genuinely and without sarcasm.
if you read what i wrote…i didn’t know about the events until AFTER i bought the car. I was looking for a decent “celica-like” fwd daily driver and it fit the bill. and the folks i met are no more my friends than say, the folks on this board. just a like minded community that shares ideas and enthusiasm (and the occasional NWS thread).
many of you guys here have been wrenching on cars since you were a fetus…and that’s great. but i started late. it was the events that gave me the car modding bug, i am now doing things on my vehicle that i never would have dreamed.

Yeah take it to the track. Dude i ran a 10.9 in the 1/4 at the erie oct '07. So dont even start. Right now im driving pretty much nothing because it gets me from A to B. Im building my Talon.
What was done to it that you were running 10.9? That a pretty good time. What are you doing to it now and what are your goals with the new set up?

Well whoever you are 1st, i was answering young tC drivers ? on what i was driving meaning it wasnt anything special, its a beater civic. 2nd I was running a Garrett 35r 56 trim turbo which i plan to keep and my Shep tranny. Im building a 2.4L stroker, with weiso pistons and manley rods, arp and bc hardware. A 3 angle valve job and reinserting my hks 272 cams. I plan on moving up to aem standalone or just give up my
v2.5 link for v3. I was using pte 880s injectors might move up to 1000cc. Its all about how much $$ i can get together.
It means he gets from point A to B and that is fine for him as a DD. And DD’s are fine, as long as he is driving it. But anyone else who calls their car a DD, well, it aint crap, because he can dust it with his 10 second project car that he no longer has.

Lol i found a ton of people that i associate with through the subaru community. Aside from that for the first year of having my car, before a bunch of fggts like turboblackneon or whatever his name is got them, tons of nut hugging banbois. If i were a lil boy toucher i could have had my pickins! TCs to get the chicks though. They love cars that they would look good in.
