do i need a motorcycle liscence to run a 49cc honda ruckus?

yes you do, Ruckus is classified as Class A because it goes over 30mph… I looked into it after our discussion about creating a scooter gang

I saw a PR scooter gang in Worcester, MA last month. They all had stereo systems on their scooters. I saw a few doing burnouts and one ran from the cops.

As far as I know you do not need one to ride it because it is 49cc’s unless they have changes it recently. I know alot o guys are swapping thier ruckus with 125cc kits so they are alot faster but still registered as a 49cc and do not need a license.

I know it’s not hard. I just passed my road test on Friday after only having my permit for 3 months. As long as you can do the circles and the figure 8s you are fine

15 min with someone following is not a big deal.
If it goes over 30mph it needs a license. Edit: I just checked the limited use motorcycle search at work and a Ruckus is indeed a class A motorcycle with a top speed of 38mph so it needs a license
