Sequential Turn Signals

Apparently Ford is bringing this back on the 2010 Mustangs.

I hate hate hate this idea. I do not want to see this while driving. What are your thoughts?

There’s all ready mustangs out there with them now. There is kits you can buy to put them in the taillights of 93-05 Stangs. I hate to say it but they are more clear when signaling a turn but they can get annoying.

I dunno about the tail lights, doesn’t really sound that annoying. But from what I have read in teh rest of the article. It sounds like they are doing what a company should do. Building what the people want. They are responding to complaints and actually reworking the design of the car to satisfy those desires. I grew up a Chevy kid, but I gotta say anything modern domestic… Ford gets my vote.

 sequential tails.

 dawn. girls are not allowed to have opinions!

They were a dumb idea 30 years ago and they still are. A ZR1 drove by me a few days ago with them, it didn’t even look like a directional. The human brain doesn’t react quickly to a progressive motion like it reacts to a sudden motion, that’s why emergency vehicles have lights that flicker quickly when they first come on. You don’t want people to miss that you’re stopping or turning, you want them to notice.

My dad has them on his 06gt. I like them.

Uhm… you can’t really have sequential turn-signals with only 2 tail lights, those are called alternating.

Yeah I see them daily.

Well listen Detroit, I don’t. And I don’t want to. Ha.

kind of related…

Was behind some pickup today with various hunting related stickers all over the back of it…

well on the tow ball was a Duck with a target on it that lit up in unison with his blinker. Also the duck lifted one wing in the direction of the turn…

kind of hard to explain without seeing it. All I know is that i wanted to run out of my car and rip the thing off!

They’re LEDs.

heres a video…

i dig them… i just think they will get annoying when i see them… theyve had this option on bikes for a long time now.

Hey, do you think the optional heated seats turn off when the car is shut off?

I doubt GM would allow Ford to copy their innovative idea.

If they were LED and didn’t so much just fade in and out I think they would be better for recognition.

true blue has sequential in his 1G mustang.

Not a fan

lol, a V8 mustang has about as much power as a V6 camaro

When you start buying new cars maybe they’ll care what you think. :mamoru:

Like was said earlier… people buying Mustangs wanted this, Ford actually listened. Ford.

Sequentials rock my socks.
