 Okay I lied and the GR2 are secretly mis-labled JGTC shocks and are in such high demand that you can’t find them anywhere  Go buy AGK’s and stop being silly
AGX? some ppl dont need the adjustability and just wanna replace the 15 year old stock ones so they wont blow the second u drop in some sportlines. so spending double the money for somthing they wont use doesnt make much sense.
Thats exactly why I did it… I have no need for adjusting the struts.
Well the 240 is the definition of wood in it’s stock form. So if keeping it stock is what your looking for maybe you should be checking out a nice
or something like that
wood? lets see what your 240 looks like. How does running gr2s affect the looks of the car when all people will see is the 2 inch drop from the sportlines?
keep the sunfire for yourself. You may need it when you smash your 240 this summer or aren’t able to afford your insurance anymore.
oh almost forgot…
bomex your not understanding it at all.
he doesnt want a performance setup he just wants something that he can drive daily and be compfortable in.
id probly do the same if i wasnt into motorsports but still wanted a semi sporty feeling car.
not everyone need 300 way adjustable coilovers with springs that are stiffer than a brick wall and a 600 hp engine that can spin the tires all the way through 9th gear…
GT
Give me an excuse to lock this thread.
That’s not an excuse, that’s a way of life.
Live long, live strong!
don’t lock my poor thread… its all I have in life…
Really tho, I was going for a 2 inch drop and a good all around strut for daily driving.
The money that I would spend on coils can be better spent at this time.
I will have a pic of the spring/struts together tomorrow.
Hope people are into the buildup pics, keep the feed back coming
I’m just giving options and opinions, no harm in that. There is a noticeable difference in ride control and comfort between stock shocks/stiffer springs and stiffer shocks/stiffer springs. Enough of a difference that he would probably enjoy and benefit from the switch to a better shock like the AGX. It’s hardly a hard core mod and should prove to be extremly streetable. As well given the number of folks switching to D2’s and MR coilovers there are plenty of used AGX’s available for cheap.
Alright here are the struts… I think they turned out well.
I should have painted them green and got tein stickers
What does everyone think ? good job ? bad job ?
Not bad at all, I really like seeing the gators in mint shape. By gator I mean rubber dust cover over the strut.
I ordered them from my nissan dealer and then treated the rubber with some mothers product I use on my tires and such heh.
I figured it was a good idea to get them being as I don’t want sand and such in my struts
my dust oots are torn to shreds and need to be replaced. problem is that its alot of work to remove the whole strut just toput a cover on it. good job with yours though

wrap it in electrical tape if you’re lazy. better than nothing.

Mike, you ran Tokico HP’s for the longest time with Sportlines, and you had 1 stock shock in that combo, stop bashing his setup by suggesting him owning a sunfire and persuading him that his setup is no good even though he already purchased it.
Don’t get Seth’s post locked.
I removed the shit.
heh thanks, I owe ya one.
