Seth's Project log - new pics/new clip

Now just convert her to Manual :stuck_out_tongue:

I looked in the wiring diagrams for you dude. You can’t remove that harness…well you could but it would be a bitch and a half cause it is mixed in with harness under dash under the electrical tape and heat shrink.

Shocks and spring look good, get em on the car now and take some pics

Andrew.

yeah I am working on that portion I am going to finish getting the vlsd and such in the car before I put them on.
It will not be too long I am ordering the sound deadening stuff and my oils for the tranny and diff today.

Seth, please check your PMs.

I just sent you one back, sorry the forums never showed a message waiting it just said 0 messages… thanks for letting me know…

UPDATE

Alright so here is the finished product as far as the VLSD goes.

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/diff003.jpg

This vlsd came from a car that had abs. On the side of the diff was the cable that lead to a sensor for the abs. Being as my car does not have abs I didn’t want a random cable just hanging there. So out that came and this was made for it.

would you believe that one of those cooling fins was actually broken off at one time?
Well it was and there is new metal in there somewhere

nice job, dude… now get that car back together!

yeah yeah I am working on it but when I put a piece back on I then go oh look at that part maybe I should order a new one or redo that piece. then I do and then the car gets put off being fully back together soon lol
I am currently waiting on a bunch of stuff to be able to put it all back together anyway.

very nice car, looks to be in good shape, keep it beautiful

working on it heh

lookin good, keep up the good work

 I still need to find a way to come get your hood heh

Alright my floor is painted, well almost all the floor once the new spare wheel well is in the back it will be painted also but for now the front has been finished off so that sound deadening can be put onto the floor.

Here are some pics for all you pic loving people.

can’t wait for my carpet and such to come in so that I can get this thing looking like a car from the inside again

Bah, it looks so pretty without carpet… come on… keep it stripped.

lol, I don’t want a loud car when I travel around, sound deadening is going back down with carpet.

yah while u have it all out u shoudl dynamat that shizzle

nice i like how the por-15 turned out!

I am not putting dynamat in the car too heavy, I found a new product.
You’ll all see soon enough

okay so… update time…

I got a tomei shifter from the forsale section and this is how it turned out.
A big thanks goes out to the man that shipped that up to me

And well I had to put the clutch pedal and new brake pedal in for the tranny swap so after many an hour fighting to put the brake pedal in the clutch was a breeze…

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/pedals.jpg

Lastly I am not sure if anyone has done this but I was not a huge fan of a strut bar mount touching medal to medal so this was made…

Tranny goes in the car along with the new centerforce clutch

wow … an update with pics

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/belt01.jpg

My car being american had automatic seatbelts that were, well to say the least a pain in the ass. So I said good by to them and got brand new ones

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/front01.jpg

I was getting kinda ticked off with the dirty front end…
So it was time to clean it, put new silverstars in, replace the rubbers that go along the front of the top and generally clean everything

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/int013.jpg

I know some people liked the clean black floor but this had to happen. Now it looks like a part of a space shuttle. The material is called phatmat.

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/int014.jpg

While repainting the floor etc I had to remove all the heat deadening. Thankfully this stuff will hold back the heat too so my feet won’t get toasty while driving aroung

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/intake01.jpg

This is the stock intake box that my car was breathing through… I thought the hole was small for any sort of performance so I changed that around.

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/intake02.jpg

My car now gets to breath through this. I hope it pulls a bit harder now.

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/wheels01.jpg

These are the stock rims I picked up. They are not in mint shape but I needed something cheap that was not a steelie.

http://ca.geocities.com/stephenschattin@rogers.com/pics/tire01.jpg

The rims came with yokohama Avid H4’s I figured they are not a bad tire and for the price with the rims they were a great deal.
They have 90%+ tread left on them being as they were used for less then a month.

I have also installed a pivot headlight controller in the car now but I don’t have any pics of it. All it is really is a little box that has a dial that allows me to control how far my headlights go down.
My tranny is completely wired. I figured out how to do the interlock for depressing the clutch… have yet to redo the wiring for that.
Either way the car will be out soon.

have a good one people.

how much did the phat-matt cost you??
