So Im not 100% sure how I feel but I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t want to continue with the Z.
Its a fun car but shes boring to me, just not my kind of car. I had more fun in my stock G20 then i’ve had in this thing.
I honestly think I’m going to get rid of it and pick up a mint G20 possibly even with a DET or VE swap and work on that.
Its FWD and thats about the only thign I can say I dont like about the car.
Aftermarket is way easier and well I just think I’d enjoy workon and building on a car like that much more than my Z.

o and mack. for the love of god dont let your dad drive any more of your cars. the power shifting that happened int he last g20, kept me amazed every day that the car didnt implode.

Quite a few Z31’s have ran 12’s on a stock setup…
and by stock setup i mean stock parts with the boost cranked way up
Sooo… As many of you know my car ran pretty good all last year with minimal issues till the end of the year…
Main issues were a turbo manifold leak, and a gear oil leak comming from my trans and a clutch issue…
Swapped clutches thanks to my man steve selling me his ACT 6 puck for a good price… was able to hold the ~15lbs of boost no problem…
Then the manifold leak got worse, I’d peak around ~15 or so at 3500 and it would drop pretty bad after that…
Then of course the obvious that everyone busts my balls about, my diff dropped at randys arm drop event in the burnout pit, burnout started fine… then started wheel hoppin like a SOB, let off… moved up to the line with no odd noises I might add, then they told me to shut it down.
Realistcly to get my car up and going again, all I’d need to do is get the diff back up with the now meaty steel mount turn the key and go…
Startin in the next couple weeks thou, I’m tearing my heads off to bring to get ARP studs put in, getting my solid rear subframe mounts as im sure the diff falling out completely tore the ones that are in there, full poly kit all the way around. Bringing my car over to inline to have Dave completely redo my intercooler plumbing, also having him making me a new exhaust elbow off the turbo as I plan on going top mount turbo, even if its the stock t3 for now
Top feed Lower intake manifold so I can fit supra 440CC injectors, along with nistune to get the car street tuned. Even if shes still rocking the same parts… I want the car running right… No doubt in my mind with a good tune, no boost leaks and a good driver behind the wheel my car is an easy 12 second car…
but really not concerned with how fast it goes… its quick for what it is cant deny that…
just want it tuned and running as good as it can be this year, and hopefully less embarrassed to open my hood for people hah

Finding real ones is hard, and exspensive… a company makes a legit replica you can order in any size/offset etc you want… Might go with them
If not I honestly really like BBS mesh wheels, might try and find a set… I really dont want big open spoke lots of gap type wheels.
