Shadys Z31 - GlowShift Jigga What?

Right but you said you want to make it a track car, which means pulling most everything rearward of the driver out, you’ll be eliminating probably 100lbs or so over the rear axle, so 100lbs off the front axle would make your car a happy panda.

Are you planning on FI or NA? The stroker is a great idea for N/A but FI is a great substitute for displacement. Get some good forged pistons and rod bolts. :thumb But for now if you want displacement I would just go with a VG33 bottom end and maybe your stock heads will add some to the CR. I should be good for some smiles and great drifting torque. :banana

Not a full blown track car…

I want it to look stock but yes I am trying to shave some weight off this heavy bitch

Gotta rip up carpets and get rid of all the sound deading and foam etc…

but like I said im also stripping a lot of shit out of the engine bay… im pretty sure everything will be pretty close when done

If any VG could make power N/A id do it, but they suck dick at N/A… and cmon a 4.1L V6 with a biggg turbo would be the tits

It would be cool no doubt… You would probably want some head work and cams to go with such an increase in displacement. 4.1 Liters will probably max out the top end of the motor at a pretty low RPM especially with 2 valves per cylinder. though stuffing boost thru it will reslove this problem to an extent

not to mention weigh a bazillion pounds.

Haha the cams im puttin in the VG30 now are a little big, theres about 800rpms those cams are good for that I wont be using… but everything would be balanced if i went with a 4.1L VG33… Which would mean a little bigger cams and a 9000RPM redline :tong

If you want to road race then making the car as lite as possible is key regardless of weight distribution. You can always put weight back on and when you do put it back on you can put it where you need it to tune the car to track conditions

my sentiments exactly. putting a monster pathfinder v6 and adding 100lbs of turbo components is not a good way of lightening a vehicle amirite?

Benny like I siad before… It’s not going to be a dedicated track car, I want to take it to the track a few times but it will be a street car…

And if it gets to the point of doing a stroker, a lot of things will be taken out of the car tahn im already going to take out

I say 3.3l for now and see how that goes. You can probably get one for $400 complete at a local junk yard and if it pops… F it. It will also soak up some of that mismatched cam you got there.

Ehh its not so much mismatched, its just it was either some dinkey that was barley better than stock, or have a good powerband and have a few hundred RPMs i cant use :tong

I’d go with either a 3.3 like Johawk mentioned or an LSx. Just go for reliability. Stay away from a SR20.

you dont know what you’re talking about :ssh

:shifty

:tong

ummm… not sure if you considered this or not but maybe put an ls1 in it… not kidding ethier. seems as if it would be cheapper in the long run instead of doing all this other work no? i think an ls1 woul pretty neat in that nissan of yours.

:shifty :ninja

LS1s are not cheap especially if he wants 6 speed. If he wanted a drag car than a 5.3L auto or other iron block LSX from a truck would be right up his alley. either way once you did all the fabrication and parts finding you would be into some serious money for 270-300 whp. Custom mounts, drive shaft and harness are a few things required.

It would be easier if on a budget to extract the power from the existing family of engines the vehicle was designed for. If you really want to dump money in it than get a 5.6L from a Nissan Titan :giggedy

All in all for around 300WHP i will be spending about 800 bucks…

Fuck you. :shifty

:lol

Yeah, good luck with that. Let me know what the actual figure ends up being :rofl
