Sherwood Nissan

Ok do I have a kick me sign on my… I have had so many problems with the nissan community latly.

I was in last night to look at a 2007 Nissan Maxima. I was greeted by a younger guy who seemed to be quite knowledgeable. I asked if I could test drive the car. He said yes and took my ID. He started the car and we sat in it. He then asked if we were dealing with someone else. We said not recently. He also asked if we had been there before. I said yes. My girlfriend (MrsRage) remembers it was an older gentleman who had helped us to look at a 2007 Spec V about 3 months earlier. So he walks inside and grabs Graeme, a taller gentleman with an English accent, and I do remember him. This is where my experience takes a dive. I am asked by Graeme if I am interested in the car. I say yes, and he proceeds to tell me that we should go inside and crunch some numbers. I said I wanted to test drive it first to see if I even like it. He then goes into a whole rant on how he works on commission and he doesn’t have time to go test drive cars with me. He said if I wanted to work a deal out tonight we could do something. I said I work 3 jobs and free time is hard to come by. He said we could come back another time. How is one to purchase a car without test driving it? I know I am missing a lot of details but I have never been treated so badly at a Nissan Dealership. I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V, and my Girlfriend a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. Her brother in-law (Silverbullet - Official NECC Member) has a 2004 Xterra Supercharged which he got through you (my recommendation). My dad is interested in a 2008 Rouge and I assure you we will be going to another dealership. I even made him wait for a Rouge instead of an X-Trail. I am very passionate about Nissans. I will not be doing business with this dealership again. I’m sorry that I wasted Graeme’s time and that he won’t be making any commissions of me. As many (well some) I have been looking at getting a maxima as my next car. Well it won’t come from Sherwood Nissan

Sorry for the long rant.

From what I hear no nissan dealerships treat you the way you need to be. Maybe I should sell cars for nissan. Im sure with the little I know I can still make sales. Like common. The customer comes to you. Do what they want. DUH

i would just told him where to go and grabbed another salesman. go back and deal with someone else. or buy the car at a different dealer and then go back and rub it in that bastards face

lol

Well they called me today after I sent them an email say they disciplined this guy. They also said that I could deal with sales manager and this wasn’t how they ran there business. I’m not sure if I will give them a second chance but they do have the most stock out of the rest

i would now ask for a better deal,or some free options or something.but first i would go to some other dealerships and explain to them what you want and how you were treated differently at sherwood and tell them that you will not take that shit from anyone

Why don’t you? The “Nissan” side could use some “decent” people…but I won’t get into that…

I’m gonna’ add my little say here…deep breath

Whether be Nissan, Toyota, Honda, doesn’t really matter, there are always going to be those kinds of salespeople and those salespeople don’t last long…obviously…The most succesful salespeople are people who actually provide the customer a reason to buy, most of the time people buy the vehicle because of the salesperson, I would say 40% would be the vehicle and 60% the salesperson unless you really really really know what you want…It’s our job to make sure that what you want and need are met and exceeded. I can’t sell you what you don’t need or don’t want or don’t like, I’m sure you wouldn’t be looking at a specific vehicle in greater detail if you can’t afford it…

That’s unfortunate you had to go through that, if it was me, I would say, “Screw you, I’ll get that other guy to help me.” Yes we are paid commission and we don’t get paid until you drive away with the vehicle (meaning you’re plate on the car and in you’re direct legal possession) So there’s some pressure for us, those are the kinds of salespeople you should stay away from, people who uses a line about his/her paycheque, I don’t even say that…sheesh…sometimes I can’t believe what kind of people are in this industry, a bunch of pigs thinking they’re hot shit 'cause they sell cars…so what…if you can’t sell and you have to resort to those kinds of tactics man, find another career…

Being on the luxury end of things, it’s VERY VERY important how we treat customers, these are people who do have money, have had lots of nice cars, they need someone to be able to take what they want and need and communicate to them clearly an precisely how an Infiniti will do that for them…on that note I’ve sold some NECC members here their vehicles, I do my best to treat them to the best of my ability…besides, I can only sell what people want right? How I deal with customers is very important, Infiniti buyers have a huge span of influence, can’t go pissing people off or making them think I’m a typical salesperson…

Lesson to all of you…make sure you deal with a person that listens more than talks and talks only about what you told them you need and want and how it will benefit you. My job is to consult and point you to the right direction and make my customer’s comfortable enough to purchase the vehicle of their choice. A good salesperson will just sell you the car, a great salesperson will guide you to the right decision, if the vehicle works for you then so be it, if not, then move on with life…

btw: WHY DIDN’T YOU COME OVER TO ME WHEN YOU WERE LOOKING FOR THE MAXIMA I HAVE AN 07 MAXIMA WE CAN DRIVE! sheesh…but then again, it’s a Nissan, not an Infiniti…so I would have no general interest in helping you anyways :E j/k j/k

the new parts girl from west end nissan is also a royal b*tch, i hope somehow she gets this message

megan you were much much better at parts desk than this new girl

btw good experience with parts desk at ericksen nissan

Never had that… But then again ordering odd ball KA24 parts must be a hated past time for part guys.

parts at sherwood and ericksen are good. I like ericksen better tho. I always raid the candy dish and coffee and water. All of it every time I walk in. Even if I dont drink it

Ive bought two vehicles new from Ericksen nissan from Mike Grayson (hes on the infinity side now) and hes a heck of a guy. He stayed after hours so i could get there from work to test drive 2 different trucks. And later sold my wife a sentra and i told him we were going out to dinner he said take the car and come back tomorrow for the paperwork. Always seems to wear some pink though…not sure about that. And their tech Ron Nease it fabulous. He supercharged my non SC quadcab fronty. Had it on for 40000 clicks and no problems. Ill definately go back again. Sorry bout your bad bit of service.
