What he wrote was the japanese versions.
The North American version had a ka24e from 89-90 and a ka24de from 91-94.
If you have to just cut out the boot I guess.
Just so you know for next time. You probably could have found all this by searching.

There is no such thing as an S13a or S13b by Nissan’s standards it’s
just something we made up to easily differentiate the two models.
Instead of calling them by Zenki, Chuki, Kouki etc.
still can’t get it off
Brandon man come by tonight and I’ll Give’r.
Call my cell 647-290-4594
clearly more give needs to be applied…
just wrap your arms around the shift knob grip like a man and just TWIST! twist like you’ve never twisted before!
Try clockwise a little then counterclockwise. The reason you cant get it off is there is some OEM glue that you have to crack before you can get the shifter off. Vise grips are good but most normal vise grips cant open enough to grip it, your hands in a good position should do the trick
yah i thought i had it undone, but i looked under the boot and the whole shifter was turning with it!
and to SHIFT_SR20 i would come by no insurance yet…
GOT IT! now i need a boot, any blue, black ones f/s?
