Shifter Ring Spacer Idea Worked

Hey guys what’s up.

Ok well this is mainly ment for those who have last years Megan Racing short shifter.

Now I am not sure if this was a problem for everyone but, my shifter was not tight inside the linkage so it would kinda bounce up and down while I was driving and it IRKED the crap out of me. As well there was a little rattle in the higher rpm’s.

So by using another stock plastic shifter ring, which I broke :x , and tightening everything back down the shifter is now secure and does’nt bounce or rattle AT ALL!

I just wanted to let you guys know in case some of you have this problem too.

Take care.

Easy 8)

I’m sorry, but you got another stock ring which you ended up breaking,
but you managed to eliminate the bounce?

I don’t get it? If you broke it, are you still using it? :dunno:

 I know it sounds wierd. The thing is, the first one that broke is still being used as well as this new piece. I tried to slowly open it enough to slide it over the shifter in one piece but, alas it was’nt ment to be.

Anyway the blue square bracket from the shifter pushes down now on the two shifter spacer rings, then I tighten the bolts and that eleminates the gap and no more bounce. Depsite both spacer are in two piece’s does’nt matter at that point.

Does that make more sense?

No. You need to be like me; explain everything with big ass pictures.

I’ll show you some time. Im not taking it apart again, snaping pic’s and posting them just to please you!

Yeah, you’re right.
