Bosch’s newest generation injectors are now available in a 1000cc saturated injector. They are a 48mm long body, shorter than normal injectors. The adaptor tops make them “normal” 60mm length and adapt them to 11mm (B series). Said to have way better spray pattern and atomization than any other 1000cc injector on the market.

Bad news -
There’s something wrong with cylinder # 2. Blew at the track Saturday. Good thing I tailored it. I haven’t taken it apart yet to find out what happened.
Guessing the worst. Might get around to draining the oil this week. That should give me some idea.
Im picking up a b16 this weekend, Lets try this again. Looks like the other project is on hold for now
Carnage pics to come!
that sucks, hope for the best.
I have to ask…were you running my tune from the T67 on the GT35R you got or did you get another tune somewhere else? If you ran the old tune…holy BADDDD idea.
BTW we rent that same fender roller for 25 bucks plus deposit if anyone needs.
time to break out that :snky: LS block you got and build a lsvtec this winter
might as well
67 to a 35R @ like what’s he running, 8? 10 psi? i dunno if it would’ve made a HUUUUUGE diff at that low boost tho
shrek, add a wideband to ur winter shopping list!
Im not blaming anyone but myself. But It would have been nice if someone would have spoke up about getting a retune due to a different turbo.
All ready started. Ill be selling some stuff here soon. Im so broke…lol
And a how to book “Tunning for dummys”
Basically what happened is I was boosting the same PSI but not the same CFM. The GT35R is more efficient then the T67 causing more air into the cylinder but I didn’t compensate with more fuel and caused a lean condition. Also going from journal to BB turbo I started building boost sooner again my old tune didn’t compensate for this.
My bad, should have known, should have asked…
To be continued
sorry to hear, ill be funding your winter build
If you don’t know what you are doing, don’t do it. If you are not sure, ASK
I don’t even want to know how much money you’ve spent on this car
Thanks for the uplifting words boardjnky4!
You have to know what to ask. But yea no shit…. And how will anyone ever learn if they don’t do? This sucks but believe me I am learning quick.
I went in thinking boost was boost. Im sure I’m not the only one.
I also probably shouldn’t have went in so deep so fast. But live and learn.
Sorry man I don’t have time to keep up with most of the board threads. I would have said something if you asked if the tune would be OK with a different turbo. This is a tough lesson learned for sure and I’m sorry it happened to someone who from what I can tell has been trying to do things the right way. That’s very refreshing to us coming from the Honda camp where most people hack things together on purpose.
The GT35R would spool much quicker, making the car run lean in a very knock prone area (where torque hits). I’ve also had cases where the GT35R flowed more air than a T67 at low boost levels so it may have been lean across the board.
^^ lol you said torque and honda in the same sentence
I can’t believe it blew up
let me know if you want help … rember im a 20 min drive
