any way to repair a sidewall puncture? its on the cackord so it doesnt need to be perfect just to the point it wont be completely flat after 2 days…

No, as in you should never attempt it.
The reason that punctures can be repaired in the tread area is because that is where the belt package lies, steal or kevlar belts are stronger than fiberglass, rayon or polyester ply (cord) that usually makes up the sidewall area. The carcass will consist of the same two or three plys in the tread area (you have about 5 layers holding everything together in opposing weaves). The sidewall will only consist of two or three weaker plys and if broken can not be repaired. Also the sidewall is designed to flex, flexing a compromised area will lead to failure again.
If it’s a puncture you can probably plug it with a standard plug kit (I’ve seen it done). If it’s non-pluggable, I’ve heard of people putting tubes in just to get by. Either one is dangerous as others have mentioned, your sidewall does a lot. It does a lot less when it’s compromised.

ya at my work we use a plug/patch system and if a tire is punctured within a inch of the sidewall we cant/wont repair it
