I know when I got my evo, in 2003, they had two options for wings. The more common large park bench-like version or the O.Z. lancer special which looks absolutely retarded, IMO. I see a silver one in guilderland every now and then, yuck.
I believe the next year they only offered one wing.

The one I saw was black or dark blue, it was honestly so dirty I couldn’t tell, which made it even cooler.
I saw a red f430 parked next to a silver Bentley GT about 2 weeks ago at Stuyvesant Plaza. I also see a black hatch on black and red Rota auto-x’s every time I’m on RT.150 going to Castleton from troy. Anyone know any of the owners?
that F430 is my buddy’s grandfather’s…he’s always in stuyvesant plaza, drives the f430 all the time too even though he has a SRT-8 jeep too :nuts he lives near there, by the UAlbany campus

yes, he picked it up from wide world of cars i believe and he has exhaust, upgraded brakes and suspension…i think the mods all together costed around an extra $60K-$70K

i just asked the kid i know who’s grandfather owns it and it’s not the same guy because he bought his at some place by the city (in NY not NJ) and he only has exhaust and upgraded brakes (those options apparently were $23,500-$25,000 extra :nuts )…i heard wide world of cars somewhere in the conversation when he was telling me about it and thats where he brings it to get serviced. my bad
You must get sick of seeing of all the high end cars everywhere. NYC places in top 4 spots to see supercars at any point in time. Miama, Vegas, and Hollywood are the other contenders.

I think the best wing on the newer Evo body is no wing. I do like the wing on the VII though, more angular and matches more with the lines of the body. Personally, I don’t think Mitsu did a good job on the front end for the VIII and IX, what they did to accommodate the crash beam for the US market was pretty bad. VII is my overall favorite in terms of looks. For the Evo 5/6 though the ridiculous wing seems to “match”, the nature of that car is just so aggressive.
Yeah evo 5/6 are my favorite too, didn’t someone have a white one around here? And I also agree that the evo 8 & 9 looks the best with no wing, looks really clean
