JDM YO
Yeah and the owner is some asian that is a complete tool.
And you didn’t see me and Stuff&Things (blue RSX) right next to him??? :sad We were all heading up to Fizzle’s house
sorry man, i haven’t been checking this thread. if the front wheel gap was smaller than the rear wheel gap, then that was definitely me :lol . autoX today confirmed my need for the nismo rear suspension.
i drive my car so much i dont even remember where i go with it :idiots . but i’m on the extension a lot, so if you’re sure it was a black altima ser with a goofy white kid driving it then it was me.
im not following you, it sounded like a freaking BEAST V8, deep and raspy at the same time, so you’re saying that there’s no way a V6 could have sounded like that? if so, i pulled on a V8 camaro :nod :lol
lol dude, these people either aren’t even racing or something. There is no way a 97mph trapping SE-R is pulling these big V8’s this hard, like the Mustang, that must’ve been a horrible driver or something because the 07 GT i beat with exhaust, tune, and intake…he trapped 104mph. I beat bfol’s 335xi by about a fender. Dunno what he traps but i’m guessing 104-106mph.
now a “V8” camaro (only reason i put it in quotes is because we don’t know the motor code i.e L98, LT1, LS1)… I can understand you pulling an L98 Camaro 82-92…MAYBE a stock LT1 Camaro, but if this is the one i’m thinking of that i know thats white with orangeish stripes it’s an LT1 Camaro 93-97, it’s NASTY and most likely was not racing.
never really claimed that he was 100% trying, it just really sounded like it. like it was loud as fuck. i also dont know enough about camaros to be able to tell you what year/engine it was, i just know it was the newest body style before they ended the run in 1999 or 2000 or whatever.
and yeah, the mustang did have a horrible driver, i said that right off the bat :lol
even if the white camaro wasnt trying, i could tell by the look on his face that he was surprised that i was right next to him.
i know my cars not fast, but its faster than most people think it would be, and it makes me smile every time i surprise people like that :nod
Yeah new body style is LS1 so it couldn’t have been that LT1 joe was talking about. You never know though… some people with manual cars just plain don’t know how to drive them… or they are driving a beat high mileage LS1 that has probably seen better days. There are too many variables that come into play here.
im sorry kramer, BUT… even beat ass ls1’s would pull ur altima. drews ls1 was running on 7 cylinders and trapped 106. if it was a v8, it WAS NOT racing… and if it was a v6, they were gay for even buying the car much less trying to race it.
A good example of a beat LS1… Paul’s automatic LS1…116k miles, traps 107mph
i still don’t think, as well as quite a few others, that the SS was on 7 cylinders that night trapping 106 just because that is about right for a mostly stock LS1.
decent drivers in V8’s>>>>>altimas, i know that, BUT, i did surprise him, whether it was a 800rwhp V8 or a 200rwhp V6 running on 2 cylinders :lol .
thats really all i can achieve in this FWD POS boat, surprising people who thought it was a 18 second car by proving that its a 14 second car
haha
Is it stock?
Paul’s auto LS1? it has headers and some like cheap reflash. nothing else.
dude, how many times do I hafto go through this…
the previous owner of my car went 13.3 @ 107 BONE STOCK in my car…I trapped 106 with intake, full exhaust…My SES was on the night I ran, and started blinking on my last run…it was running on 7 cylinders cause idling the thing vibrated like a bitch. Did I know before I ran it was misfiring? No, or else I wouldnt have ran it.
he trapped 107 stock…and it went 1mph slower with a different owner. If it was on 7 cylinders it would’ve been trapping WAY lower than 1mph off what the previous owner did.
uh, what??
it went 1mph slower with some decent power mods??? Headers/full exhaust wake these cars right up…look at pauls for example…
do the math, it makes sence…more mods, and a slower trap…the car was running like shit…and once again, I wasnt aware of this…
O yah…Tony ran my car once and trapped 106 @ 13.6…I ran it once and went 13.9 @ 106.
Also, your acting like cylinder 5 was a complete dud?? It had 55psi, so it was still making a little power out of that cylinder.
for example…
look at when I raced your grandfathers bolt on C5…John was in the car, he was a witness. My car was Misfiring as I was racing you…and that was 2 weeks after I ran at lebanon.
No, you’re acting like it was a complete dud making it sound like the car would’ve been trapping 110+ with it “normal”…
I don’t see how you did this compression test like 2 weeks after you ran the car at the track when it could’ve been running better at the track, you’re just assuming it was on 7 cylinders because of the poor trap for whatever reason. iirc the headers weren’t on the car at the time of the 106 trap either, and are you considering the SLP exhaust a full exhaust?
The C5 probably traps 104-105mph…and based on how you pulled, it’s about right for the 106-107mph trap.
im staying out of this one. so here is the goatse bunny with a pancake on its head :bunny
The car threw a code 3 days after I fuckin bought it. I went and had it scanned, and it was a Bad cat. converter on the driver side. I cleared it, it went away and didnt come back for another 100 miles…SES came back, went and had it scanned and this time It was a bad cat/cylinder misfire on cylinder 5…
I thought it was a false misfire As I did everything myself (minus the compression check) to try to fix it…I even brought it to johns shop the day after lebanon and he scanned it, and cylinder 5 had something like 40,365 counts of misfires…kinda odd having that many counts of misfires as the code was just cleared 2 days ago, the day before lebanon…
my car is a SLP SS. IT HAS A FACTORY FULL SLP EXHAUST. its a 3" catback, upgraded from the factory…I just added the headers, and the 3" Y pipe…didnt hafto touch the catback since it was already 3"…
at the time, i did NOT know the car was running on 7 cylinders until I did the compression test…I know the whole time that the car was running on 7 cylinders because the code for cylinder 5 was up…not to mention, cylinder 5 had a hole in the piston…it was fucked from the day I bought it
argue with me all you want…I will go right back at ya for a week straight.
Im not here to bust anyones balls or be a dick, but IMO it wasnt “running on 7 cyl”, it had 1 inefficient cyl, which didn’t make too much of a difference(other than idle and stumbling here and there). My buddy had the same prob on his car, did the C/P and 1 cyl was wayy down, but still Et’d and trapped the same as a stock car should. Honestly if your #5 cyl was at 55pts compression you mayy have picked up .25-.75 mph(tops) with a normal operating cyl 5.
