It doesn’t seem right to me either, but they insist there is no such thing that says they have to cover me for a certain amount of time. Assholes.
Thanks Pete, it’s going to be a hell of a lot of $$$$$ for repairs.
I mean, bumper, fenders, hood, radiator and bumper support, radiator, headlights, grille, all fucked. That’s just off the top of my head. Not to mention the car starts, but won’t stay running. Who the fuck knows what’s going on there…
yes jesse that was me
thought we met before a long time ago, but maybe i’m wrong. my memory is shot!
nicole, i have no problem helping you out. all we need is to source out a parts car, and you can fix on the cheap, but i’d let the insurance company have it first hand.
Even if I get a lawyer, and fight with the insurance company, that will take forever. That still doesn’t get my car fixed. In the mean time I have no way to and from work. As much as I love driving the STI, I can’t kidnap it forever. Bottom line is, I’m going to either have to find something else to drive for now, or pray that SEFCU is willing to refinance my loan for the cost of repairs.
she shouldn’t even have to call an attorney. i am positive its part of the insurances regulations to allow a grace period. same goes for if you don’t pay your policy that very day. they give you AT LEAST a week before there is any cancellation notice or any repercussions. i have never heard of such bullshit. with how expensive insurance can be they don’t do shit half the time.
Maybe the people at SEFCU will be brain dead that day, and I can squeeze enough out of them for repairs and a little something extra. Just to make it up to the Jetta and say “I’m sorry” properly. :ninja :rofl
if you can help me out with a slight amout of gas money, i’ll do what i can to help you. just got laid off which ROCKS!!! so i’m gonna do side work instead for a bit.
No lawyer needed. The ins company knows they have to pay you, but they are trying to confuse you out of even filing a claim. Show them you know what you’re talking about and they’ll pay. Make sure your current balance is paid or they can delay payment for the claim (they’ll still pay, just make you wait until you’re paid up).
