HOWEVER next time i prolly wont be as nice. i didnt have my car with me last night and that was prolly why i didnt comment but he needs to check what he says to someone and not act like a total DOUCHEBAG next time.

hey, whats up i got the mk2 swapped tdi, i was lookin for mudflaps like that for my father because the oem ones scratch the paint on the fender and hes upset. where’d you get those?
Yeah he was telling me about the comment, he’s just defending a long time friend (well little brother of a good old friend). The kid that hangs out with Stallmer and is getting is Prelude built by Synapse wanted to hear it. It’s only a cat back to piss off neighbors, an F.A.T.T. and some RallyArmors (and a ProSport not hooked up right). It makes a 60 mile trip every day so it’s not going to get anything crazy (still under warranty as well, just broke 50k miles this month!). I plan on the up pipe and downpipe, an intake, larger TMIC (already got one from a friend) and protune.
tdi, yeah man whats up? Still cant get over your swap, its freakin epic haha! As far as the mudflaps go, they’re urethane flaps from Rally Armor, but unfortunately are already slotted for Subaru specific applications. I’d be more than willing to take them off to compare at the next gathering. I’m sure you could get the flaps uncut as well (without the holes or cutout up top).
dont get me wrong… im all for a quick scoob, but speaking from past experience and seeing how MOST wrx’s perform on stock turbo… i was guestimating about 14 flat… no matter the driver. his “holier than thou” attitude was quite abrasive though. i meant no disrespect to you, but i think he needs to learn to put on kid gloves next time he decides he wants to piss in someones wheaties.
Yeah, I don’t expect it to run much faster than a 14.4-14.6, even then I think I’m overestimating.
I don’t beat the piss out of it because I can’t afford a gearset right now so that would REALLY slow me down, and Super is getting freaking expensive… not to mention tools in the back and me weighing down the car.
Mudflaps will get me to the 13’s though, fo sho.
EDIT: not to mention this is just my daily driver… I’m not all too crazy about the Soobies, even though it does go through the fields quite nicely, its just my car and I want to be the way I like it. My real love is my 240SX.

What I mean is I can’t afford to launch the car or bang gears hard because that will most definitely leave me at the tree, dead in the water.
haha stock gearboxes are USUALLY good to about 300whp on a mustang dyno before u strip the teeth off them. however the sti 6 speed has been tested to be good with just a clutch up to ~850whp… u just start shearing axles at that point. on the stock turbo, you normally wont make enough power out of the td04 to get to dangerous power territory

I’d rather get a used axle for $150 and whatever it took out than a used tranny for $900.
