i bought the stratus from sirius and it works great in my car but in my work truck ( tri axl dump) it seems to be not as good . i find if im in mon city that i get really shitty reception and in wooded areas not so great basically like my cell phone. in my car i never have a problem. any idea? also what is the fm direct adapter for?
Fm direct connects in between ur ant and radio it works better then the wireless crap…
your car must have a better fm tuner
some cars have directional antennas…this may be the situation…my dodge gets great reception from my phones fm transmitter but my nissan gets pretty much nothing
so i need to hook up the fm direct to get better reception in my truck?
This would solve the problem…
Do you have 2 car kits? how do you do that?
another question is it static or does it just cut out?
1 car kit for now … it cuts out but no static. it works perfect in my car.
Try putting the ant on the roof…
you do not need an fm direct
the roof has part of the dump bed that covers the roof. wont that hinder the signal?
throw it on hood then…
where do you set it on the dash?
on the cowl by the windsheild wipers.
Mon City gets bad service in some spots I have XM and lose reception in a lot of spots
my dad had to take his off the dash and onto the roof to get reception…he has a new coloraldo
