Slave Cylinder / Clutch Fork

1990 RB20DET GTS Skyline

so here is the issue,

my slave cylinder crapped out on me yesterday, and when it did it left the clutch dis-engaged. when i got it in the shop and up on the stands i fount that the cylinders ram had puked out the front and wedged its self half out the cylinder and the clutch fork. thus dis-engaging the clutch.

but now why is the clutch fork not in the right place and why does it have so much free play? what does that assembly look like and what does it take to replace it?

i still am going to replace the slave, but i dont really want to do that until i know whats up with the fork.

There should be a spring clip behind the clutch fork that holds it to the ball pivot. If that is missing your fork will not work, and wedge itself in there crooked and screw with the clutch. It may be laying on the bottom of the bellhousing, so use caution when pulling your tranny. I had a similar problem on my 89 GTST when I dropped a stage 3 clutch in it. Luckily I had a spare tranny to pull parts from.

so turns out the fork pivot was broken and caused all my problems. no big deal. pulling the trany was a pain. but all of you already know that.
