Glad we spend billions of exploring space and looking at stars. We test stuff on rocks in outer space, but don’t know how things work a mile below the ocean on our own planet.

There is already a company that has devised a way to clean the oil up pretty well. I think they were trying to sell the product to BP. I really don’t have any details on that. I think I saw it on the news though, and they showed some tests that looked awesome. I think it converted the oil into a hard substance that would be easier to pick up.

It’s probable not an off the shelf item. 3 months is a pretty good turn for a made to order piece of equipment that is supposed to work properly.
