I was pulling the head off my motor today and was not able to remove the cas. Once I got it to move a bit, I noticed it was broken between the head and the actual part that sits against the head.
When I twist the cas, the gear moves, but the main body that sits in the head is actually broken. Therefore, I cannot even pull the cas from the head at all.
I hope I have made it somewhat clear to understand.
Has this happened to anyone before, and is there a way to pull it out so I can replace the unit?
Thanks in advance for any help, it would be greatly appreciated.
No prob man. Removing a head isn’t very hard, I ran into this problem and thought someone might have had a similar experience. Cams are out and this thing is stuck in there.
If you have anything relevant or helpful to say about my issue that would be great.
Really? Removing the head of a motor is easier than figuring out how to remove an already broken object from a hole with ample room to use some sort of device that hits things?
Try squirting some Move-It or PB Blaster around the broken piece stuck in the head, let it sit for 5-10 minutes then try hitting it out. Also try tapping aroung the broken piece and on the head where it is stuck to loosen it.
