was my plan

My dad bought a new toro about 2 years ago. It’s a tank and can handle a lot. Would recommend. He had a 20 year old ariens before that. It lasted a long time and worked great for what it was, but the toro was a nice replacement

get a honda wit tracks

Can’t go wrong with Ariens. I would suggest talking to the real Ariens dealer just off the 400 at Seneca St. Compare what they have to Home Depot and see if he’ll give you a deal.

The next time I buy one I’m getting one with that Quick Stick type control (joystick thing)… I HATE spinning the crank 1million times just to go right to left.

what ever it is, make sure parts are easily available.

Honestly, go with the 342cc John Deere, spend the extra $500 and you’ll have a snowblower that’ll last you way longer than any Troy Bilt, Toro, etc…

If you have any Q’s about any snowblower lemme know, I work ISLG at Lowes.

lowes is having a sale untill the 8th 15% off plus if you get the movers coupon you can get an additional 10% off

^Truth.

We can’t touch the JD prices without penalties but I can try to get you some sort of deal, be it just free delivery or discount on accessories or attachments.

Is there any reason why you need brand new?

I bought a 8HP '74 Ariens for $150 bucks 3 season ago and never put another dime into it…so far it eats through the tough shit my neighbors $1,500 Toro with heated handles stalled out on.

I can check to see if there are any available if you would like. The guy I bought it from sells them direct, in Holland, as a side project. Great guy too.

Thats the one I bought a few years ago. I think mine is a 30" blower though, works like a champ and I have a pretty good amount of snow to move too.

we have an old snapper snowblower with a techumseh engine. its probably in the 20-30 years old range. works like a champ. also have a blower attachment for the lawnmower, its a single stage but works pretty well since the engine is a 18hp briggs v twin. you dont need to spend a ton of money, find an older snowblower in nice shape and itll last you quite a while. our snapper we paid like 150 for it about 10 years ago and it still works great. only thing we had to do was replace the belts and clean the carb since weve owned it.

I bought one of these-

hopefully it works decent, price was right

Good luck with your Chinese knockoff. Let us know how it holds up after a couple years tossing snow mixed with corrosive salt.

That looks like total shit.

Most of the positive reviews are from people who hadn’t even seen snowfall when they wrote it…So that thing is a massive fail

I’m fairly confident it will be a total fucking piece of garbage

Check this out. If it’s mechanically sound buy it and pocket the extra loot.

You can touch the JD prices, i clearance down JD stuff all the time at lowes.

My 10HP Noma that I picked up off of the side of the road for 70 bucks seems to still be going strong after 3 years of use and who knows how many before me. All it has needed so far was a couple of oil changes, and a new belt. Oh and a sheer pin because I didnt see a 2x4 that was buried in the snow.

Honestly get an old used snow blower thats in reasonably good mechanical shape. With some basic maintenance it will more then likely outlast anything new thats available in stores.
